Today's Subjects: ----------------- [EDA] NJC: Scam aimed at Home Depot shoppers [Mike Connell Subject: [EDA] NJC: Scam aimed at Home Depot shoppers A heads up for those men who may be regular Home Depot customers. This one caught me by surprise. Over the last month I became victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends. Here's how the scam works: Two seriously good-looking 21-22 year old girls come over to your car as you are packing your shopping into the trunk. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-Shirts. It is impossible not to look. When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say "No" and instead ask for a ride to McDonald's. You agree and they get into the back seat. On the way, they start undressing. Then one of them climbs over onto the front seat and starts crawling all over you while the other one steals your wallet. I had my wallet stolen on April 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, & 17th. Also May 1st, 4th, twice on the 8th, 16th, 19th, 20th, and three times on the 21st. It's also very likely again this upcoming weekend. So tell all your friends to be careful. Mike P. S. Wal-Mart has wallets on sale for $2.99. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 27 May 2009 08:39:26 -0400 From: Sasafrass Subject: Re: [EDA] NJC: Scam aimed at Home Depot shoppers Wow, that sux! I guess the only way for a guy to avoid this is to bring his girlfriend or wife :P I doubt the scammers would even try if he brought her along :P But if he must go alone, make up an excuse not to let the girls into the car, such as you're going to pick up some friends. Then quickly get in, LOCK THE DOORS, & drive away! Mike Connell wrote: > A heads up for those men who may be regular Home Depot customers. > This one caught me by surprise. You shouldn't be buying all those wallets for $2.99 at Wal-Mart. I get mine at The Dollar Store! ;-) MAC - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sasafrass" To: "Mike Connell" Cc: Sent: Wednesday, May 27, 2009 8:39 AM Subject: Re: [EDA] NJC: Scam aimed at Home Depot shoppers > Wow, that sux! Did you get more than the one EDA who believed that you went back 16 times for more after the first "alleged" instance here? I like the way you "warned" us ("heads up" was even better) that it is likely to happen again this weekend. Also, which Home Depot is it? I think I can find a 99 cent wallet and a couple paper Canadian dollars lying around from a Canadian I'll never speak to again. - -=-Kookybaka-=- On Wed, May 27, 2009 at 3:37 AM, Mike Connell wrote: > A heads up for those men who may be regular Home Depot customers.
