OK, faced with a semi-short drive to Albany NY yesterday, I decided to pick up the latest from JK to listen to on the way up, went to FYE, Coconuts and Walmart here but could not find it in either. When in Albany, I went to best Buy, an FYE and some other store in a mall and did not find it there either. Asked a clerk at FYE in Albany and they never heard of it. What gives? Jeweljk.com says "available in stores". What stores? Clothing stores? Anyone else striking out looking for it in stores? Well, I ordered mine online, but I was in Target the other day and, just for grins, thought I'd look for Lullaby in the music section. Like you, I didn't find it either. In fact, in Jewel's "section," the only CDs I found were 2 copies of Perfectly Clear. Its being marketed as a childrens cd, as its being distributed by fisher price. Toys r us and babies r us are both carrying it. Some walmarts have it in the childrens section. Target is selling the cd as well, located in the music section. Depending on how your local target displays its music, you'll either find it under pop/rock or country. I found it in the country section. - ------Original Message------ From: Mike Connell To: jewel@smoe.org Sent: May 15, 2009 10:57 AM Subject: [EDA] Lullabye - "Available in stores" - really? The other problem was on release week it sold out at a lot of online stores, including Amazon, for a while. Probably hurt that important open week sales. I am pretty prolific and Ibve written hundreds and hundreds of songs but Ibm not very good at keeping track of them. I lose them. And so I got into the habit of going online and saying, "Hey, does anyone have this song? I sang it once in Toronto, I think ... "B and this one guy kept coming back with bootlegs. Hebs kind of an archivist doing it for himself. I ended up hiring him [laughs] to help me keep track of my hundreds of songs. Itbs been great. When I want to go back and get x song, he sends them to me. ~*~*~ The Faithful Angel ~*~*~ - --- On Thu, 5/14/09, Scott Anthony wrote: From: Scott Anthony Subject: [EDA] GREAT Jewel interview with The Advocate To: "Jewel list" Date: Thursday, May 14, 2009, 1:33 AM Just in case you thought she went super-conservative in the land of bull riders and threatened secessions... http://www.advocate.com/exclusive_detail_ektid83799.asp - -- Scott Anthony Evans scott@scottanthony.org http://www.scottanthony.org ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V13 #70 ***************************
