I enjoyed this a lot! Can anyone tell me who is Mariis Kilcher? And who ever said "Violet Eyes" should have been included is right on. Maybe the tone of the song was not 'child like" but the melody fit this Cd perfectly./. Dave _Jewelblues@aol.com_ (mailto:Jewelblues@aol.com) **************The Average US Credit Score is 692. I think it is just lovely and I like it more every time I listen to it. As someone said, it's different, but then each album Jewel puts out id different from the others. That's just Jewel. I think she has achieved what she set out to do with this album: create something that is soothing and relaxing -- it's great late at night to just sit back and drown in that lovely voice, and then drift off to sleep. And that voice can still bring me near to tears (of pleasure, of course). For the first couple of days it was "All the Animals" that kept running through my head, but then it has been a favourite of mine for many years. Lately it has been "Forever and a Day (Always)", which is quite different for Jewel but comes off beautifully. I love the reference to Gala and Dall, reminiscent of the Henry Miller and Anaos Nin reference in "Morning Song". Another strange but interesting "couple". Today it was the lovely Shaker song "Simple Gifts" that I couldn't get out of my head. I'm not going to go through every song: they're all good, the old ones and the new ones, and the covers are great - -- beautiful versions of "Over the Rainbow" and the "Brahms Lullaby". Anyway, "Sov Gott" is playing at the moment, so "Sleep well" (it's a cold autumn night here).
