Jewel looked amazing in a yellow top and jeans. I was hoping for more songs off the new record, but it was still a great set: Hands, Stronger Woman, I Do, YWMFM, Foolish Games, Love Me Just Leave Me Alone, Standing Still, Chime Bells. She even wiped tears away a few times because the crowd really embraced her, after a few minutes of 'what is she doing here' silence when she came out. **************Vote for your city's best dining and nightlife. I'm glad they were positive. I think this is a really good idea, despite people's bitching. Playing alone won't really get new people to buy the album. Why wouldn't she play more country songs, though? Anyone But You? Til It Feels Like Cheating? I don't get it. I did not stay for all of Paisley's set, so she might have come out at the end.. I think it's possible since there was the 'party' theme going on. His set was fun to watch so some of you might stay until the end. The openers were good enough. I'm not into country radio so I didn't know their songs, but they had nice voices. I was thinking that since this is the opening show, that could be why she did only her hit songs. Further into the tour she might add newer songs. The intro for LMJLMA was quite clever, making it sound like a story. She seemed nervous coming out onto the stage at the beginning. Getting into the set, though, her voice was incredible. I could not believe how she kept wiping tears away. Halfway through YWMFM her voice cracked and she moved away from the mic wiping away another tear. The crowd kept the song going for her and it was an amazing moment. I had the cheapest tickets I could get, all the way back on the lawn. She went on at 8:30 and the sun was already down so they used the big screens. I was glad I could see her close up on those screens. In a message dated 6/12/2008 10:54:43 A.M. I like you would want more from the new record too. Can you tell me a bit about the entire show? How long was the 2 people before Jewel? Jewel was the final one before Paisley right? Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks Best wishes Stephen On Jun 12, 2008, at 9:32 AM, JessGal4u@aol.com wrote: > Did anyone else see the show in Albuquerque last night? Yeah, I plan to leave as soon as Jewel is done. I sure would have preferred more than 40 minutes, but oh well. I don't know the one opener, but I've been listening to some of Hough's songs, just so they sound familiar. Thanks again for the review. Very well done! I can't believe she was crying!!! That is so strange. Stephen On Jun 12, 2008, at 9:56 AM, JessGal4u@aol.com wrote: > The two openers each had 20 minutes, Jewel had 40.
