I feel like the music tempo changes during the chorus and it makes me feel schizo or something. I prefer the live acoustic versions. - -Elizabeth On May 28, 2008, at 3:10 PM, nikossong@aol.com wrote: > Ok, time to come out of lurking for my once-every-year-or-so post! > > So I listened to the new CD, and even as a HUGE country fan, I love > it!? "Rosey & Mick" is one of my favorites so far. I love the instrumentation. And I love old school country, but I really don't like "Anyone But You" yet. I think it's a beautiful song, but I just don't think she sings it that well. You say everything there. You're a huge country fan and a Jewel fan - of course you like Jewel's country album. I'm not a huge country fan - not really a country fan at all - but I'm willing to give this album a try. To be honest, though, I really don't care any more. I've been disappointed too many times by Jewel. I hope I like it, but it just depends on which road of 'country' it goes down... If you're a huge country fan, of course you're gonna love it. If you're not? Well anyway, it's you're own personal choice. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 May 2008 09:59:37 -0400 From: caseyjonescs@aol.com Subject: [EDA] international release Come to think of it....I actually have POY and Spirit on vinyl....Ebay! Reminds me of olden days long ago when I would walk to an old record store in Bowie and could get records for 85 cents to a buck! Rather than spending thirteen bucks for the same CD (since I listened to old jazz and big band), I could walk away with five albums for usually around 6 or 7 bucks (as prices varied) and learned my love of jazz music in Earl's store, listening to and Benny Goodman, Percy Faith, and Count Basie, Thelonius Monk, Charlie Mingus, Artie Shaw, even Kenny G and Louis Jordan, the Andrews Sisters, and Miles Davis and Glen Miller....ahhh, memories....thanks for that tid-bit....brought me back to a time when things weren't so crazy....that's where I bought my first record player.... Ahh, I digress! Anywhoo, I'll leave the CD's up to you guys, I've got my fill with records and 8-tracks.... ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V12 #342 ****************************
