What does NTSC and PAL have to do with audio CDs? I thought it was a video-only thing? I think she sings it too weakly. And I guess I don't mind country. I'm from the South, and I like stuff like Dixie Chicks, Carrie Underwood, etc. But I guess to me, it doesn't sounds that crazy. I think some of her best work is on this CD. "Everything Reminds Me of You" is exquisite. I love "Perfectly Clear." "Thump Thump" is adorable. "I Do" has grown on me a lot. I love that we get a yodel at the end of "Cowboy Waltz," though I wish it was slower and more drawn out. I guess to each, his own. You probably HATE how country "Rosey and Mick" is, but I love it. :D Scott On Wed, May 28, 2008 at 1:06 PM, Teresa Trich-Gravante wrote: > Really? Anyway, given that, I really love I Do, Thump Thump, Everything Reminds Me of You, Cowboy Angel, and of courss Perfectly Clear. The last three is such a strong finish to the album. And to those who aren't enjoying the cd sneak peak, rest assured that Jewel still sounds amazing live. She sounded so good! She seriously rocked out and I think having the full band has allowed her to have some fun on stage, especially with her banter. It gives her people to interact with on stage. Maybe it was the good mood Jewel was in during the taping. But I have a feeling it has to do with the fact that she is happy with her new record label and the people she's surrounded by now. - -Elizabeth On May 28, 2008, at 12:54 PM, Sasafrass wrote: > I must say it's not my favorite either. So I listened to the new CD, and even as a HUGE country fan, I love it!? It is SO much better than her last few albums.? I'm so excited to go buy a copy! Now with that, the ONLY problem I have with the record is Rosy and Mick.? That has always been one of my favorite songs ever, and I was super excited to hear it was on Perfectly Clear.? I clicked on that one right away, and as it turns out, it kind of scares me.? She keeps the exact tempo as the old one I'm used to, but the? music goes crazy on it.?? Am I imagining it, or does the music not match the song at all?? Maybe I'm just biased, but I thought it just made the song sound confusing?? Anyone else agree? Other than that, I? love it so much, and I hope it goes to #1!? I know my local country station here in Baltimore plays Stronger Woman all the time. PS -- Anyone But You, if you are into classic country, will be your favorite :) Jenni ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V12 #341 ****************************
