Today's Subjects: ----------------- [EDA] GBU 4th Allied POW Wing [caseyjonescs@aol.com] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sat, 22 Dec 2007 01:21:25 -0500 From: caseyjonescs@aol.com Subject: [EDA] GBU 4th Allied POW Wing Being the activist that I am for the return of all prisoners of war, and several people including Mike Connell who might have been alive to witness the event of Operation Homecoming 1973, I'd lilke to take a moment to shed a grace on a man who is truly my hero, Colonel Ted W. Guy, a man whom I've never met in person, and only know of by words of other prisoners of war and from many accounts including my own personal meeting with Senator John McCain himself earlier in the year(whom I actually tap coded 'GBU' -God Bless You- on his hand), I know of the power that Ted evoked into masses of 18 year old tortured prisoners of war who only knew nothing but this pain. Ted was the SRO (Senior Ranking Officer) at Plantation, a Viet Cong and NVA ran prison camp and spent almost four years in soliltary confinement in the Hanoi HIlton 'Maison Centrale', better konwn to the Congs as 'Hoa Loa'. ??? His page can be visited here. www.soft-vision.com/hanoi ??? GBU, Ted, a hero to more than I. Somoeone out there still remembers, for as long as I breathe, the sacrifices will not be forgotten untill I fall dead, ??? .. ..? . .. .... .... ??? I am proud to have been awarded the call sign 'Hawk' in emulaiton of Col.?Guy, the only man ever to be promoted to Colonel below ground whilst aa prisooner. ??? I encourage youo all to read his page and learn more about the words ofthese men like Norm Schmidt, Makowski, Larson, McCain, Risner, and Guy. ________________________________________________________________________ More new features than ever.
