This is a must have for every Jewel fan in many regards. Features a couple of fan favorites like 1,000 Miles Away, songs from the forthcoming album, plus an introduction and performance by her father Atz. (And most importantly, it's a pretty crisp recording). I think that the taper's gain must have either been way up or he couldn't control it because it sounds like at high volume moments it's maxing out and distorting a little bit, so it's not flawless, but very listenable. I don't get it... can we go to it (and if so, what's the web address) and get the show or are you posting it somewhere? This means that when he is ready, and you mail blank CDs and an envelope with your return address and postage paid, then you get a copy of the show ;) Aside from the CD/cassette tape difference, this is how most of Jewel's early stuff actually made it out in large enough numbers where more people that just Mike got to hear it :P It's called "treeing", because what essentially starts out as the "trunk" can eventually grow more and more "branches" as people who receive the shows kindly *wink* make copies for others to enjoy, all without charging anything for the copies, which keeps it legal. When all is said and done, you get to hear a show that you didn't get see, but hopefully will still enjoy. :) - --- Theresa Bolger Gubrud wrote: > James -- where is this?
