WHy don't you email me so we can talk instead of over the EDA list. I like your call sign, "Central Florida Angel". I'm in South Carolina, a true bushwhacker by southern brerd nature. Don't worry, I'm known as "The Lonely Angel", I told a coworker once I had to leave early to pick up my brother at the dock, and he said, "Wow, didn't know you had family. Every thinks you are alone in this world, guess it's nice to hear you've got someone." I don't know, I'm glald you give back to your community as an educator. I am actually studying thanks to many people to teach collegiate level US and European History, but a concntration on US history during the Civil War and reconstruction period, better known as thhe "indian Wars". Email me, love to talk to you. Jonesy Oh, by the way, I didn't mean to make you teary eyed, but someone once told me that I have a way with words. i just meant to honour a falllen comrade. Human beings tend to spend far too much time complaining about the state of the world and not enough time fighting for it. Apathy is our disease and our escape. Day by day, moment by moment, nothing ever changes. We just assume that we can't save the world because that's what we've been taught. We hate the monotony of our lives and yet we do nothing to escape it. But.. we can. One person can change the world, one voice can make the difference." Reminds me of course of Jewel and Lenedra's "Be the difference that makes the difference" or something to that effect and of course what Mahatma Gandhi saying something like "You must be the change that you want to see in the world". Glad to see young people full of conviction and fire to see goodness to humanity in the worlda and taking charge. I do like Jewel's anthem ... One of my heroes or sheroes in the world of humanity has been Harriet Tubman. Everyone should know about Harriet and what an amazing woman she was. I also always loved to sing a song about her "Harriet Tubman" by Walter Robinson, a cappella. Holly Near has a few versions of it. She was an unbelievable woman that I hope every child in school learns about...she should be a national hero. Anyway, have a good day all... PS. On a completely different note, with some Jewel relavence, Doug Pettibone who I know has played with Jewel before sounded great playing with Lucinda Williams the other night at Radio City Music Hall. Also, I won't be seeing Patty Griffin at the Beacon next Friday in NYC b/c I'm going to see another jazzy singer Sasha Dobson at Caffe Vivaldi, however if there are any Patty Griffin fan lurkers on the list as I'm sure there are, have a great time and that should be a wonderful show!
