The last paragraph in this article is kinda confusing. It could be that Q'Orianka and Jewel might team up to promote this enviromental car. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=119904 "Pocahontas" Gets Keys to a Hydrogen-Powered Honda FCX - ------------------------------------------------------ Date posted: 03-07-2007 LOS ANGELES Of course you wouldn't expect Honda to lease its FCX fuel-cell vehicle to anyone who starred in The Departed. But there's a lovely kind of symmetry in turning the keys over to the 17-year-old actress who played the role of Pocahontas in The New World. Q'orianka Kilcher on Wednesday became what Honda called "the world's youngest fuel-cell-vehicle customer" with the lease of the FCX. "The best way to demonstrate the importance of next-generation vehicles like the Honda FCX is to put the next generation of drivers behind the wheel," said John Mendel, senior vice-president of American Honda. "Q'orianka Kilcher will be driving around Hollywood in the ultimate environmental status symbol." Previously, Honda had generated a lot of publicity through an original lease of the FCX to California's Spallino family, who used the vehicle for such prosaic activities as school carpooling. The FCX is a zero-emissions vehicle with a range of 210 miles, according to the EPA. Kilcher said in a statement provided by Honda that the FCX is her first vehicle. "As a young person today, I feel it is important to take initiative [sic] toward seeking positive solutions and stepping up the quest toward clean energy and environmental preservation," she said. In the film The New World, the actress portrayed Pocahontas as caught in a clash of cultures as Europeans established the Jamestown settlement in 1607. What this means to you: Expect lots of paparazzi shots of Kilcher in the FCX perhaps accompanied by her cousin, the singer Jewel. ________________________________________________ Wireless Internet Ltda -- www.wnetrj.com.br ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 9 Mar 2007 10:19:00 -0800 From: "E N" Subject: Re: [EDA] Q'Orianka and Jewel? I don't think that's what it means. I think they just wanted to mention Jewel in the article. - -Elizabeth On 3/9/07, Fjjordao wrote: > > The last paragraph in this article is kinda confusing.
