I went to the Portland, ME concert on Wednesday and it was AWESOME! I missed the opening act because I live an hour and a half away, had to wait for friends to arrive to watch my girls, and it was pouring rain. But I got there just in time to get my seat and within a few minutes the show started. I can't remember the order or all of the songs but she started with Somewhere over the Rainbow. Some of the songs that she sang were: Little Sister Foolish Games You were meant for me Carnivore Violet Eyes Stephensville, TX Good Day Angel (story about her dad and life growing up) Cold Song (with the whole "Best song I've ever written" story) Race Car Driver (Hitchiking story) The antidepressant/dentist chair story Hands Intuition Stand Life Uncommon Who will save your soul (Kermit the Frog story) Encore was Gloria de Amore Chime Bells I know that I'm forgetting some. She sang for 2 hours and even complimented the audience for being such good listeners to the songs that were not on albums. Let me tell you, you could hear a pin drop, it was awesome! The show was not sold out and there were empty seats towards the back. It was definately worth the 1 1/2 hour drive. The last time I saw her was in Hampton Beach, NH in 2004 when the audience was very rude and she only sang for 1 hour and only released songs. As for Merch, there were some t-shirts for $40 from the Goodbye Alice in Wonderland tour. A tote bag, thong, and some hats. The best was a zip up hoodie that said JEWEL across the front...I would have loved to get that but it was $55 and I did not want to pay that much. I didn't see any tour books or anything. Have a great weekend everyone! Ann - --------------------------------- Want to start your own business? Learn how on Yahoo! A little while ago when they had the Stripped performances by Jewel, someone had downloaded all of the audio and video for those of us who were having problems watching it. Would that same person (don't remember who!) be willing to do the same for the John Mayer performances as well? I wanted my friend to watch, but she has a Mac and can't get it to work, and my computer is too old :/ Thanks in advance! ]:o_ I don't collect cows.
