Even Rob's official announcement of the tour (post BY him back in April ) on the Rob Thomas forum said Jewel was opening on the tour. I think the song is uber-catchy, has lots of great radio production value, but sets itself apart because its format is different and uncliche. The verses are alright, with down to earth lyrics, but the chorus grabs you. How many Only One Too's (although I think it should be single #3), Drive To You's, and others have you already heard? Good Day really stands out, and for myself at least, it has had a much better staying power than Again and Again. I thought Again and Again was a bad single choice simply because it was so cookie cutter in its production and style. It didn't stand out at all, and came out bland (although acoustically it is beautiful and top-notch). I think it should of had YWMFM-style production, fitting with the much referenced PoY-callbacks they did with the promotion. Does anyone else notice that since This Way, Jewel's people (and maybe Jewel herself) have this mindset of exactly what a single should sound like, when in actuallity her biggest hits have never sounded anything like that?
