Tracklist: Goodbye Alice In Wonderland Long Slow Slide Again and Again Hands Good Day Everybody Needs Someone Sometime Love Me Just Leave Me Alone Foolish Games (acoustic) YWMFM (acoustic) Chime Bells (acoustic) Standing Still Intuition WWSYS Later: Stop Draggin' My Heart Around (w/Rob) Chime Bells was great cause her dad (who came to visit for Father's Day) sang it, with her yodeling with him. So that was a huge bonus! It was fun and different to see her there with a band!! It's been a long time for that! Most people were definitely there for Rob -- and by the way, I thought both he and Toby were good. I don't know much about Toby and am not a fan of Rob's, but I thought they were good. This was not the best Jewel show I've been to. As usual, SHE was great, but it was short, and she didn't play anything that hasn't been on an album except Chime Bells. When she asked for requests, it seemed like she just played Foolish Games instead of what people were shouting. I was kind of close to the front, but I didn't notice people dancing or doing much; it really did seem like people were there for Rob -- lots of moving around and going in and out through her show, although some people were cheering for her and calling her name behind me. When Rob came on, people stood up, went nuts and basically stayed that way for most of his show. Not as much in and out. I left after Jewel and he sang. I think people are right, this is his tour. One thing is in GAIW, she pointed to the audience on the part "I never knew it was you who was breaking my heart, I thought you had to love me, but you did not." Did anyone else notice that at other shows? I did record, but it's distorted cause it was so loud. I'm getting a Mac Pro Book -- should be here in a couple days. Does anyone know if Garage can take this off a Sony MD recorder -- and if you do, how? It will be forever for me to get this off if no one knows cause I don't have Garage on my mac now so I'm not familiar with it -- if that even works. Or any software that will work for Mac? Sony only has for Windows. I really want to try to get better quality than I have on the other shows I've done -- and possibly even do those over if I can figure this out. I think its important on this one especially cause it is distorted. In the other shows, I've played it from these little speakers that hook to the MD Recorder into my computer mic and then tracked it out in Spin Doctor. Obviously, this is not the best way to go.... if anyone has a better way of doing it for Mac, let me know. I don't think I got that duet, though! I'm not the best at this recording thing... I can't find that song, but I know I turned it on to record -- thought it went to 002 (the first one is her whole show), but it doesn't seem to be there. I was near security and afraid of getting caught, so I was trying to be quick and not obvious -- and using a lighter to see the thing! Sorry about that for all you who will want this show. Has anyone else taped any of these shows? Well anyway, I'm tired. It was good and worth it, but I can't wait 'til she comes back on her own! Matt -- I want a recording with your singing on it! Anyone have Chicago????? If you find one, let me know. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 19 Jun 2006 23:04:29 GMT From: "casper31@juno.com" Subject: [EDA] Jewel- old snl performance Does anyone know where i can get an online video of her performance way back when on SNL. it was the one she played w/ joshua redman- i think she did wwsys?
