(what - > disagreements on *this* list?!) Just wanted to say I love it, too! You have good taste, Angie. It's a very good album. If you get a chance to give her 2003 release "At Last" a listen, you'll probably enjoy it, too. Cindi covers a lot of classics in it. That album really grew on me. I can't wait until Jewel starts covering standards -- maybe the Billie Holiday catalog! And if Jewel is doing classic covers, it may keep her producers from performing further studio mischief with her original music. I'm sorry guys, but I heard her JewelStock version of "1,000 Miles Away" ten years ago at the Bearsville Theatre. It literally brought tears to my eyes (hey, it was my request and my encore). So I was really looking forward to this album track. What they did to the end of it is silly... what's with all the cymbals and piano in the background? Sheesh. (While they were at it, I think they might as well have added some cowbell, too. Who doesn't like a double dose of cowbell in the studio?!?) Connell was there at the Bearsville, holding my hand. He can back me up on this one! ;-) - -- Harris. Trust me. It was pretty much what I was expecting. This is the 1st leg of the tour and she's actually supporting another artist, so it's not really *her* tour, and I certainly think it's best to go with the hits now and then make a real tour of the album next. Anyway, all the songs are great, so it must have been real good. How long was it? 1 hour? ________________________________________________ WNET - www.wnetrj.com.br ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 24 May 2006 14:04:31 -0500 From: "jamie mathews" Subject: Re: [EDA] That's what Jewel needs: more Body Acoustic! cowbell would have been awesome... i miss woody... jamie On 5/24/06, Dennis Harris wrote: > > *** Angie wrote: > > > G'day! > > > > Who was writing to the list about Cyndi's album, The Body Acoustic? > > You were loving the album, and someone didn't agree...
