(it was delayed an hour in Milwaukee because of a TV Auction this week...). She looked nice. I didn't like the interview part, because he annoys me. I don't know what it is he just has always annoyed me. Anyways, she performed Again and Again acoustically, and it was the first time I heard it this way. It was refreshing. I like the version with a band, but there's just a lot of production on it. It was nice to hear it stripped down. It kinda reminded me of You Were Meant for Me and Who Will Save You're Soul. Very nice. p.s. Is it just me, or everytime when you hear Stephenville, the guitar intro part, you think it's Rosy & Mick? Everytime I hear it on the CD i get excited for half a second thinking it's R&M!!! ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 4 May 2006 08:56:16 -0500 From: Theresa Bolger Gubrud Subject: [EDA] Re: Good Day I think Good Day would work really well on radio -- it's the kind of song I can see singing to on the way home from work and its different than a lot of what's out there..... just my opinion. She IS done -- with Atlantic, which might explain that... But in this original digest alone, there are links to two articles where she talks about smaller, different albums and possibly starting a family. So I think she's already saying that she doesn't plan to quit, just move to a different phase of her career. I really think she might do herself or at least re-sign with a ton more freedom, which MIGHT result in us getting MORE from her in an "artist to fan" way. I mean if she gets it where she owns her own songs, she can give us more..... Yes, this a hopeful thought! but you never know.... It actually surprised the hell out of me in that 'Good Day' isn't a bad song, and she actually makes both it, and Again and Again sound beautiful. Thanks for posting this Cilla. Tenth week charting... maybe we can get her to move up next week? =D p.s. "Not Ready to Make Nice" by the Dixie Chicks is doing really well on the hot 100 charts... two weeks out and it's at number 23. good song. _________________________________________________________________ Is your PC infected? I guess in my excitement (and I was trying to get the news out as quickly as possible b/c I thought there were only 10 min before it was going to start) I didn't check if it was actually being broadcast today - which doesn't seem likely. I stopped listening for a year and it's a whole new station! LOL. I have no idea what they do anymore and their program schedules - which, annoyingly are not listed on the website. They used to do the Star Lounge performances live, i.e. they taped it the day of and broadcast it delayed - but still on the day of! I'm a little upset over the station. Haha. I'm just upset that this used to be my favorite station and now I don't recognize it at all. ::sigh:: I usually listen to CDs or my iPod in the car, but occasionally I like to flip through the radio and now, it's just beyond annoying. It's a little sad to see the radio format die. It's terrible what radio has become.
