It still looks a little strange, like her left booby might be saying, "Ouch!" But, whatever...boobs will be boobs and Jewel will be Jewel and covers will be covers, I suppose...and you can't judge a boob by its cover (duh) A ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 29 Mar 2006 13:00:20 -0500 From: freckledangel@aol.com Subject: [EDA] red dress song Barry wrote "Naturally, I immediately thought of these words: "I'm gonna put on the sexy red thing, I'm gonna manipulate, I'm gonna pull some strings, Cause my strength is in my power over you. The power of a woman." Of course, she wrote those words ironically, though. I don't think she was suggesting that sex appeal is a woman's only power, but it certainly can be one kind. I don't remember all the words to that song, or even most, but I don't think she was exactly encouraging women to use that kind of power at the exclusion of other kinds of power. I think she was exploring a woman's sexual power, but it was an edgy song that was not meant to be taken totally at face value. Correct me if I'm wrong as I don't recall exactly what she was going for in that one. Thanks for the book recommendations. Sounds interesting. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 29 Mar 2006 10:40:20 -0800 From: "Larry Greenfield" Subject: [EDA] From Today's "Rolling Stone Daily" From Today's "Rolling Stone Daily": JEWEL is set to appear in a thirty-second TV spot for Nascar, entitled "Nascar: How bad have you got it?" There's about 10 videos and interviews on there. Nothing new, most of it's from Sessions@AOL from March of 2003, but thought I'd share that with everyone. Just this very afternoon I got digital cable and stumbled upon AOL Music On Demand and discovered the same videos. I JUST recorded them all to throw on a DVD. Her videos featured are: Who Will Save Your Soul You Were Meant For Me (NOT the Sean Penn directed version) Foolish Games Down So Long Hands Standing Still Standing Still (Sessions @ AOL version) Stand Break Me Intuition Intuition (Sessions @ AOL version) An interview from the AOL Sessions. I know at least one other released video is missing (Jupiter), maybe more. Anyone think of any other released videos not in the list above (other than her new one)? I'd like to have them all to burn a complete DVD of all her released videos. About an hour ago I saw the Stand video for the first time and in THAT video I thought she looked her best ever (of all the videos I had seen).
