I noticed in the corner there was a disclaimer that the maximum donation was $10,000. At $1 a piece they already had 13,400 people signed up. This means that giving them your contact info wont increase funds to help the Red Cross and might get you on a spam list. Just a reminder that next Saturday, Sept. 10, The EveryDay Angels Foundation is kicking off their 2005/2006 Project Warmth Concert Series at my house in Jersey City, NJ with performer Randi Driscoll and Noah Heldman. Admission is only a new or gently used coat or blanket which will be distributed to local homeless people to help ward off the cold this winter. We have also decided to do a monetary collection for Katrina victims (this will be voluntary, its not necessary to contribute in order to come to the show). 100% of what we collect from attendees will go to the Red Cross. If you've never been to a Living Room Concert, find out what you're missing! Live music in the most intimate setting. Show will start at 7:00pm. Seating is limited so PLEASE email me if you haven't yet RSVP'd and would like to come. Hope to see you there! Similarly my company has launched a beta test of a new (free) dating site. We're donating $1 per sign-up up to the red cross (up to $10k). Even if you're not single you can participate as an "audience member" (think interactive Elimidate...kind of). Please spread it around but be warned that the site is *very* beta...you will find bugs and general ugliness. And no spamming worries...we're a 10-year-old company with tens of thousands of dial-up and commercial subscribers and have never sold or distributed subscriber info.
