The EveryDay Angels Foundation (EDAF) has established Project Warmth to help address the needs of so many people literally left "out in the cold" each winter. The concept is simple: collect coat and blanket donations as the "cost" of admission to a concert, show, sporting event, or party, and distribute them to those in need. For our third onsecutive year, the EDAF will sponsor Project Warmth events nationwide throughout the winter so that people in need may have more than just a blanket of snow to keep them warm. Our first Project Warmth concert was held four years ago and featured Jason Mraz. Since then 24 more artists and bands - - including Rachael Sage, Allison Crowe, Adam Ezra, and Randi Driscoll - have leant us their talents. Last year's monumental success with shows in New York City; Encinitas, CA; Boston's Hard Rock Cafe; Canada; Buffalo, NY and Iowa really gives us a great goal to beat this year! We already have shows lined up in Encinitas, Canada and Massachusetts again as well as shows in Florida and New Jersey (the NJ show will be on Sept. 10 with Randi Driscoll...more info on that to come soon). Here's where you come in! We are looking for more artists and organizers to collaborate with on Project Warmth shows this winter. Instead of a cover charge we will ask attendees to bring a warm coat or blanket as their admission "fee". These donations will then be distributed to local shelters and/or agencies that will see that they get directly into the hands of those who desperately need them to keep warm this winter. This includes homeless adults and children as well as abuse victims and runaways. Artists are encouraged to sell their cd's and any other promo items they would like to help defray their costs and spread their music. We will help to promote and advertise your show as well as provide a layout for programs. If you are willing to explore the possibility of presenting a Project Warmth event or attaching your name to one, please reply to this email and let us know what you have in mind. If you already have a show planned that you would like to turn into a Project Warmth show, great! If not, we can work together to come up with a date and venue. You can also get more details on our website www.EveryDayAngels.org. We hope you will join us this winter as we work to blanket the country with benefit concerts for our third consecutive year.
