USA Today had a pretty good review of it a week or so back and she was impressed with it (the same dink that typically cuts down Jewel every chance she gets) Mike ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 08 Aug 2005 08:37:41 -0500 From: "Rob Hanning" Subject: RE: [EDA] NJC: Jason Mraz I enjoy the live disc from Java's, so I was really disappointed in his first disc. I thought Rocket was terrible. That being said... this one is better than Rocket. There's a track that sounds a bit Justin Timberlake-ish to me, and that's NOT a good thing. I do really like the first track, Life Is Wonderful. The rest are pretty forgettable, IMO. I can sit here right now, looking at the track list, & not really remember what any of them sound like, & it's only been 2 days since I listened to it last. So there's my 2 cents. Mike, if you want to buy it, email me off-list & I'll sell you mine cheap! ;-) - ----Original Message Follows---- From: "Connell, Michael P (US SSA)" To: , Subject: RE: [EDA] NJC: Jason Mraz Date: Mon, 8 Aug 2005 08:44:54 -0400 > From: Chrissy Pfingst [mailto:cpfingst@hotmail.com] > I haven't been reading all of the posts lately... so I might've missed > comments already.... > but has anyone bought MR. Rocket had some really good songs and this one has some too. I like this album production better than Rocket. My favorites: 01. Life is Wonderful 03. Geek In The Pink (this is the Justin Timberlake's one, hehe) 04. Did You Get My Message 06. Clockwatching 09. Plane 10. Please Don't Tell Her 12. Song For a Friend The others are just ok. But I recommend the CD all the way. But I have to admit I like his live stuff far better than the two studio records. For those thinking of getting it I would say if you liked Waiting For My Rocket to Come you'll probably like Mr. A-Z. I think both are ok but sound more "radio-friendly" than his live stuff, which is, I guess, the point, (sadly). It grows on you. My favs are Plane, Mr. Curiosity, Song for a friend, and of course the single Wordplay. Should you get it? If you are a fan on Jason ala his Dave Matthews shows then it is good. All over the board musically so that is nice too. == Rob == ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 8 Aug 2005 18:35:41 -0500 From: "Chris Stoke" Subject: Re: [EDA] NJC: Jason Mraz I am a big fan of Jason Mraz, and though I do like his live stuff a lot better, this CD is FANTASTIC! I tried clicking on the link and saying "Save As" but it just saves the link to connect to the actual file on the Internet.
