["now and zen girl" Subject: [EDA] JEWEL CONCERT ON JUNE 24TH!! hello folks!! well i am kinda late on this, but better later than never ever. so on the 24th i took my third trip to the saratoga mountain winery to see the wonderful jewel. this was my tenth jewel show!! i was exstatic! i dont want this to be too long... as i must go finish making dinner... haha, but i must hit on some high lights. jewel started off the show with a 20-30 minute Q&A session with the audience! it was awesome. cus people were coming in late, so jewel was like ok you wanna ask me some questions.... so people did, it was amazing. then this one guy stood up and started going off on god and the troops and all that stuff, and jewel was like "ok this is my soap box, get your own" and everyone laughed and cheered and the guy got really angry and he totally left haha! it was so funn. jewel felt bad, but that guy was lame! oh yeah, and she opened the show with SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW!! that was amazing, i could hardly believe what i was hearing. i think the ultimate highlight song of the night was GOOD DAY... oh my GOD!! that song is amazing. it should totally be her new single. i want to hear it so bad again, its killing me. i ABSOLUTELY LOVE that song!! if that is a preview, along with belong with you and alice in wonderland, of the new album... we are in for a real TREAT! she also sang satellite, which was amazing, i had never heard that song live, so that was awesome. jewel herself looked beautiful, as always. her voice OH MY GOD her voice!! over the years her voice has grown and matured and become the most excellent insturment. WOW! her voice has become so rich, and womanly, it was almost husky. from night to night her voice changes, like any singers voice does... i sing, so i know about this... but wow you can really hear the maturity growing in her voice and the strength of it. i was absolutely blown away. the first sound of her voice always gives me tears in my eyes... i can hardly handle the beauty. anyway... that is my kinda short review of an amazing concert! jewel never fails to amaze me!! oh and if anyone has this concert recorded or knows of anyone who does i have tons to trade, so PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! THANKS! alisa. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Jul 2005 11:11:50 EDT From: JewelArchive@aol.com Subject: [EDA] NJC: Wed night: highly recommended FREE concert in Boston area In a message dated 6/20/05 10:12:25 AM, JewelArchive writes: << Jody Blackwell, who performed at several of the New England area Living Room Tour shows when she was just starting out, recently released a new album called "Good Again." The title song floored me the first time I heard it. I've listened to that tune at least a 100 times and I still want to hear it again. Finding that kind of depth in a song is a beautiful thing.>> I've just been informed that Jody will be giving a rare impromptu live performance at a small club in the Boston area this Wednesday evening. Here are the details: JODY BLACKWELL Live at Toad, Porter Square, Cambridge, MA Wednesday, July 13, 9:30 PM b late, late no cover!! I wish I could attend, but unfortunately, I have previous commitments. However, I highly recommend that any EDAs in the area check this show out. Jody doesn't perform live very often and it's a rare opportunity to catch her.
