They were made in the eighteen hundreds and are quite exquisite: the palest blue, with elegant etching. I love them. I bought them in a little store called Market On The Square. The whole town is adorable. Do you know the store Anthropology? Well, the whole town is like that, but the original thing. So cute. Hand made quilts and antiques and original cake plates. I was in heaven. I went there with Ty's sisters, Kim and Kerri. We were in Texas for reasons that were less than celebratory. Tys mother was sick and so we all flew to be together and help out. And to relieve the stress, we girls decided to de-stress by a day of therapeutic shopping. Grandburry is much cuter than Stephenville. The nicest restaurant in Stephenville is Chili's. Grandburry is full of tearooms and Victorian homes turned into brunch rooms. I was in heaven. Anyway, I bought these glasses, and I sip champagne as I write. Im working on a new record. I produced it myself with amazing musicians. Its the first time I have produced myself, or at all for that matter. It has been such a hard year for me. So many changes. I wrote some songs I love. Alice in Wonderland is probably my favorite. Another called Again and Again. Plus I finally got around to working up arrangements for older songs like Stephenville, TX and 1,000 Miles Away. I'm very excited about the music, but must admit I am in no particular hurry to release. Its odd, but I am so happy taking time off. It has been a pleasure to relax and enjoy everything I have worked for. I love it. But that said, I plan to release this record later this year. Im just writing a few more songs, because you never know what gold lies just around the corner. I have also been trying to focus a little more on my writing career. I hope to write more and get artists to cover them and let them work their guts out to promote them, while I stay at the ranch a little more to focus on words. For now I am totally content to sip from my lovely new glasses and writing to you all. Until next time, Jewel ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 10 Mar 2005 01:14:22 -0300 From: "Fabio" Subject: Re: [EDA] Letter From Jewel That letter made me sad. I hope Jewel recovers from the 0304 bad-impact. I think it really damaged her as a person, you know, like, I don't know, she doesn't trust her fans anymore, or if she thinks she's now alone in this world. She should know we still are backing her up 100% percent. I wish she could know... Time heals, that's for sure. Alice In Wonderland is a sad song, probably about the whole 0304 consequences. It IS sad after all, she didn't get to make the tour she wanted, her follow-ups flopped completely and the press and the fans went after her real bad. I bet she never thought it would make such impact. But well, it happens to everyone. We just gotta move on and try our best all the time. I can see Jewel is doing that, which makes me happy. I wish her the best, always. Jewel is Jewel, good & bad..... I'm kinda sick of hearing about the 0304 record flop, Everyone is entitled to have a not so perfect moment... Maybe we should look more to the words and not so much at everything else... I liked some of it and other parts I didn't. That didn't change my opinion on Jewel. She writes what she feels and that right there should tell us that we DON'T have the right to criticize her! I myself am a published poet and have many pieces that I love and likewise many that I hate. It doesn't give someone the right to judge me based on something I felt... I am and always will be a Jewel fan regardless of how her musical career goes. I'm all for another record by her, be it identical in style to 0304, more like a twin to pieces of you or something completely off the wall and unusual! I send mad props to Jewel for putting her soul on paper and whispering it to us with both good & bad rhythm! LoL, hope I didn't step on too many toes! Take care all! - --An Avid Jewel Fan For Life~ ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V10 #58 ***************************
