Mike asked: > So, any present EDAs take a crack at this show? Any present EDAs know > anyone who took a crack at it? I wonder if I can beat Jenn McBride to the punch with this: :-) Jennifer McBride found out first hand what it is like to audition for the popular show 'American Idol' this past October, after camping out in the rain outside the Cow Palace. She tells her behind-the-scenes tale of what happened both on and off camera, as well as how the painful accident that landed her in this 'shoe' certainly changed things. And the Apple iTunes website store has Ellie's "Gotta Get Up From Here -- Radio Edit" as a FREE download (they do one a week, you may need to register to download the song). Pretty good song. She's more of an Alanis-type performer. The free song track changes every Tuesday. Some are better than others, but the offered track is usually one of the best tracks on the album, NOT a "B" side throwaway. Harris. For what every reason these list leave out appearances made at the WikiUp in Hillcrest and The Art House in Carlsbad. She used to perform every Thursday from September 1994 to Decebmer 1994 at the Wikiup. I've been playing Amen a lot lately, and it hit me. Does anyone notice the striking similarity between this song and Jeff Buckley's rendition of Hallelujah? The tone of the songs and the chorus. Jewel even chants "hallelujah" at the end of Amen. Both of these songs are my favorite songs of all time-- Buckley's "Hallelujah" being at the top of my list. If you haven't heard it before, do yourself a favour right now. It's the one of the most depressing yet most beautiful songs of all time-- and for once I think that he blows Leonard Cohen's original version out of the water.
