Conceived by Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter and his creative development editor, David Friend, the book chronicles 75 years of Academy Award parties (always the best part of Oscar night.) It's hard to pick a favorite picture, many of which were culled from the Motion Picture Academy's archives. We're partial to the 1954 shot by Daily News snapper John Peodincuk, who caught Audrey Hepburn clutching her golden guy in 1954 after cops rushed the "Roman Holiday" star to the ceremony from her final curtain call in the play "Ondine." Close behind are those almost-private moments. Like Tom Cruise kissing the nape of Nicole Kidman's neck, or Jewel and boyfriend Ty Murray squeezing each others' butts while posing for a mob of photographers outside. Yes, last year's "Best Hook-Up Song" was won by none other than Jewel and "Intuition" on the RMAs. I know because I just watched the video of it this weekend while taping some Jewel TV appearances from VHS to DVD for some of my favorite EDA friends...
