I think there was a video? And that's it. The wallpaper was okay. I think there was a bug with the CD though. You had to download something to make the screeensaver work. You might want to check that out ... maybe the CD is not what's broken. Hi. I just bought This Way (yes, I know... I missed the boat by a year or two :P) I got it used, and it seems to have a bit more scrathces than I would have thought. As far as I know, all of the songs play fine (the only CD player I tried it in is flaky anyway) but I put it into my computer to listen to it there, and saw the bonus features. My question is, are they worth returning the CD for? The section of the CD with the computer data on it is messed up, and my computer crashes while trying to load the icons and things for the programs on the CD. (Well, doesn't crash, but there is an unreadable spot that it hangs at, and I have to kill the window it's loading in, which potentially kills my computer). From what I could tell, there is wallpaper, a screen saver, and a video, but that's about all I can tell before it falls down and goes "boom!" ===== ]:o_ Jason Quattrini The Master Cow _o:[ |O = "I am a WERECOW! What a small world it is... I hadn't seen Adrian (who manages Allison Crowe) since the EveryDay Angels Foundation launched in November of 1997, and then I'm in Halifax two weeks ago, and I miss meeting up with him and Allison on tour by one lousy day! Now, Allison is playing in New York City Saturday night for an EDAF "Project Warmth" show, and I can't make the trip down from Boston to New York and see them there, either (no, it's NOT a Red Sox-Yankees thing ;-) So, any EDAs in the area should take a coat or blanket down to the Laurie Beechman Theatre at 8 PM and check out Allison Crowe. Amy "Llama-Slamma-Jamma" Neufeld will be there to collect the donations, which will be dropped off at Covenant House New York. You're guaranteed to meet at least two old-school EDAs (Amy and Adrian) at the show. That said, I WILL be at next weekend's Eve Selis' Encinitas, California "Make A Difference/Project Warmth" show. In addition to Eve, Mary Dolan, Peggy Lebo and Patti Zlaket will be playing. As a bribe to get fence-sitters to the show, here's an offer: Any EDA who makes it to that show will receive a genuine Harris Brothers (tm) exaggerated story (aka, veritable lie) to tell on this list forever. I will then steadfastly support their deception on this list until my last dying breath. This offer does not include Larry Greenfield, as: 1) Larry is an attorney (and already gets his lies wholesale ;-) 2) Larry has been around long enough to form his own sullied image, and 3) My stories about Larry have too much commercial value to simply give away on this list! Amy and I are in SoCal from late Wednesday to Sunday night (Oct 20-24). Anyone up for a gathering (besides the EDAF show on Saturday)? My, how this week is flying by... Harris. Trust me (tm). ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Oct 2004 08:16:02 EDT From: JewelArchive@aol.com Subject: [EDA] Re: New York EDAF show Saturday night! Hi all, I will also be at Allison Crowe's performance tonight at The Laurie Beechman Theatre and I sincerely second Dennis' recomendation here. EDA's anywhere near NYC tonight should definitely get yourselves to this concert. Not only will you be supporting a very worthy project with your coat and blanket donations, but you are guaranteed an evening of memorable music. Allison is destined for much bigger things and you may never get the opportunity to see her in such an intimate setting again. It'll likely be one of those rare nights of Future Folklore, if you get my drift. And....now you're guaranteed to meet at least three old-timers, all who would enjoy meeting you. I hope to see you there! Hey, everyone, I'm really hoping to see some of you at the show tonight! Even if you haven't made a reservation, come on down because I'm relatively sure there are still seats available. Let's prove that the name EveryDay Angels is a well-deserved one! Here's the original post: The EveryDay Angels Foundation is proud to announce that the Winter 2004 Project Warmth Concert Series kicks off in New York City on Saturday, October 16. Project Warmth was originally the brainchild of Foundation member Jason Vierling who held the first show in a living room in California back in January of 2000. The show featured Jason Mraz, Carlos Olmeda, and Toca Rivera. You can see pictures here: http://www.edaf.org/projectwarmth_011500.htm. Did you know that over a half million Americans are homeless on any given night? Well, this is your chance to lend a helping hand to those who are on the streets in the dead of winter and to have a little fun at the same time. Admission to a Project Warmth show is simply a new or gently used blanket or coat. The collected donations will then be distributed to local homeless and abuse victims. Here is the details: October 16, New York City Allison Crowe at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, 8:00pm 407 West 42nd Street (between 9th Ave and Dyer Ave) New York, NY 10036 212-659-6909 Collected donations will go to Covenant House Combining classical virtuosity with the improvisational qualities of jazz and the gale strength of gospel and rock at its most visceral, Allison Crowe has been called "a force of nature" by critics who've found her original voice impossible to pigeonhole. Through hundreds of public performances in coffeehouses, clubs, cabarets, theatres and concert halls regionally and nationally, she is earning increasing acclaim for her distinctive vocal timbre, unique emotional delivery, rhythmically propulsive piano-playing and her thrilling, risk-taking, music. The internet is also helping to carry her words and music to a global audience. (Her songs have been among the most downloaded tracks at Amazon.com.) In 2002 she was a featured guest artist on the Jewel website which stated: "Beautifully moody or riotously rocking, Allison Crowe creates piano-based music of transcendent quality." Contact Adrian at management@allisoncrowe.com to reserve your seats! Remember, admission is free...all we ask is that you bring a coat or blanket donation. Hope to see you there! ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Oct 2004 10:45:09 -0700 From: "Allison Crowe Music Mgmt" Subject: [EDA] EDA: Allison Crowe/Project Warmth NYC venue details Indeed, tonight's the night in NYC - and I'm more than excited to join Amy and Mr BB, and all of you who're coming to Allison's concert in Manhattan.
