["Matt Sullivan" ] Re: [EDA] The old site - the "wayback machine" ["Sandy" Subject: [EDA] NJC: New Alanis Video--A Must Read! Have any of you seen Alanis' new video for Eight Easy Steps on VH1 yet? INCREDIBLE. It is basically the song playing, but her singing 8 Easy Steps in all of her old music videos, from her first one as a teenager to Everything, and home videos. Amazing. It must have taken weeks to get it to work. But when you watch it, you would swear that she was actaully singing 8 Easy Steps at the time those videos were shot. You can read more about it on Billboard.com See the video. It is AMAZING (and I really dont even like the girl lol!) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 29 Aug 2004 11:02:23 -0700 (PDT) From: Patri Chicken Subject: [EDA] The old site Hi all, I remember someone posting to a link that archives old websites, which had in its database jeweljk.com as it used to be before fansrule. Does anyone know if it still exists or how I can find it? Thanks, ~Patricia "El mundo es mi pollo" P.S. A man walks into a bar and orders a drink. The bartender says "I'm sorry, I can't serve you because you're not wearing a tie." The next day, the man goes back to the bar. It is a different bartender, so he orders a drink. The bartender says, "I'm sorry, I can't serve you because you're not wearing a tie." The man gets very upset and decides to search through his car for a tie. He looks through the glove compartment and the backseat, where he finds no tie. Finally, he finds jumper cables in his trunk. He ties them around his neck the way he would tie a tie. The man enters the bar and asks the bartender, "Now may I have a drink?" The bartender replies "Okay, but don't start anything!" Yahoo! That's high praise for Steve, or one helluva slight for Ms. Snaggly Tooth. I guess it's all in what turns you on, eh Larry? Maybe my standards are a bit higher... I guess Jewel would be an utter disappointment for me. ;-) ***Amy Llama wrote after last night's Poltz backyard show: >"Hand Job on a Church Bus" That song title says everything! What a freaking funny song. I really liked the impromptu chorus that developed. A great show, and a full three hours (by the count of the three 60 minute miniDv tapes I recorded). Sean and Todd were excellent hosts, and I feel bad for all you northeastern EDAs who passed on the show. Steve made at least 20 new fans last night. I particularly liked "Rainbow" -- Steve and Lisa made a wonderful collaboration on that one. Hope to see more EDAs at the next LRC. After all, we started the darn things! - -- Dennis, looking for his next LRC fix... ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V9 #241 ***************************
