Take care, Barry Howarth ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 2 May 2004 13:18:53 -0700 From: "Allison Crowe Music Mgmt" Subject: [EDA] OAC: Allison Crowe's "secrets" + another EDA tale ( : Yay! for Tom and Rachel and baby Charlotte ( : And, the Every Day Angel Foundation is another baby that has grown out of the EDAs whose energy came together through Jewel's music! The kookybaka revolution begins at home. Unless it involves plywood cows, in which case it may be better advanced in certain rural areas where the laws are not so restrictive... Anyhoo, a number of people here still know me, and, for those who don't, being an EDA has had a profound effect on my life's direction. And, the short version is that I have focussed my life on music and community activities for a number of years now. And, after many trials, the singer-songwriter I manage, Allison Crowe, will be releasing the first of her two debut albums next week! Allison was honoured to be one of Jewel's featured guest artists, back in the day when jeweljk.com had such features, and she's gone through some wild and crazy experiences with record label folks, to emerge, with her own indie label, and the creation of a pair of albums. Alley and I both hoped her first record could capture the same kind of honesty and naturalness heard on Pieces of You. Music is a great gift, and, I hope you'll enjoy these preview songs from "secrets". One is Alley's original tune, and the other is a cover of one of her fave poets/songwriters, Leonard Cohen: What About You ~ http://www.allisoncrowe.com/whataboutyou.mp3 Joan of Arc ~ http://www.allisoncrowe.com/joanofarc.mp3 peace and cheers, Adrian (the island angel) ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V9 #128 ***************************
