No matter how "unfair" it may seem to you that jewel wasn't nominated -- that is so unfair to Beyonce. Also, her dad keeps as close of tabs on her career as Jewel's mom kept on hers -- in some ways, Beyonce and Jewel, and the way they've gotten to where they've gotten, are very similar. And, I can't remember the exact wording she used, but Jewel said something to the effect of "kinship' when it came to Beyonce after working with her on Diva's. Beyonce deserves all the Grammy's she got. She's young -- has come a long way in not a lot of years (remind you of anyone?), has worked hard - -- and anyone who writes good music AND is able to sing and perform the way she does deserves the recognition she gets. Plus, I saw her on Oprah and she seems very sweet, down-to-earth and "grounded" when it comes to who she is, her fame, her work and everything else. So you need to be more informed when you say something like that about someone. And BTW, Jewel credited Beyonce for helping her with all the dance moves they did together for Diva's (basically said she didn't know what she was doing and if it weren't for Beyonce, she'd have freaked) and said that she and Beyonce got to be good friends -- I think she actually said "her new best friend" in a tongue and cheek way, but made it clear they had become friends. And Beyonce has said that she has a lot of respect for Jewel and her talents. And anyone can write their own music, that don't make it good.
