Works! WOW I guess the 6 degrees of seperation theory is true! The way the theory goes is like this: Say you want to meet Justin Timberlake...if you think about it, you CAN think of someone you know, who knows someone, who knows someone....and so on....who knows Justin Timberlake. The theory is that EVERYONE in the world is connect by six or less people. Well I was going through the Christmas cards today, and throwing them out In the process, I found a letter from one of my mom's high school friends, that she sends out with her Christmas cards. After working and raising her family in Milwaukee, her and her husband retired in Eagle River, AK In the letter, she mention having gone to a writers convention, in none other than Homer! So I wait and wait for my mom to get home so she can call her friend. I made my mom give her the third degree...and it turns out that her friend had met Atz (Jewel's dad) at the convention, and had been exchanging short shorties and lyrics through the mail! My mom asked her, hey don't you know who his daughter is? And she said all she knew was that she was a musician, but a lot of people are, she said, so she didn't figure that she was famous. My mom told her that his daughter was none other than multiplatnium artist, JEWEL!! And her friend freaked!! ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 14 Jan 2004 23:42:29 -0800 From: "EN" Subject: RE: [EDA] Jewel Info While it is no excuse for the management, I'd just like to point out that one of the main reasons I loved the EDA list so much when I joined was because I was able to find out TV appearances, news, etc. here in one place. The JTeam hasn't been informing "us" for that long. That's what makes this community so great - we keep each other updated on Jewel news and musicians. But like I said earlier, these days it's not that hard to keep a mailing list informed ... but oh well. At least we have each other. We used to do it back then, and we can do it now. If everyone just keeps their eyes and ears open for Jewel news, we will be fine. =) Elizabeth, the not-as-often-as-I'd-like-to tennis-ball-whackin' angel - -----Original Message----- From: owner-jewel@smoe.org [mailto:owner-jewel@smoe.org] On Behalf Of TFace151@aol.com Sent: Wednesday, January 14, 2004 6:16 AM To: jewel@smoe.org Subject: [EDA] Jewel Info Is there some place we can all send complaint letters or emails to Jewel's managment? Jewelink used to come to me at least once a week and gave me the latest information, now if I want to know what's going on with Jewel I either have to watch her tv apperances (new cartoon?!) or listen to the radio (new cd?!) Or find out from you guys (0304 special edition?!) I just want to commend everyone on the list for being great detectives and sharing their information with all. I just miss the good old days when Jewelink was informative and would like to tell Jewel's crappy new management what I think. So if anyone knows how to contact them, please let me know. Thank you, Teresa ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 15 Jan 2004 09:00:06 -0300 From: mperkis@disc.ucn.cl Subject: [EDA] Jewel's poem Hi everybody! i need a poem from Jewel called "Home".
