I figure I could put on it one country song (maybe Love me then leave me alone?), one with very high notes, one with her girly voice etc etc Does anyone have any good suggestions? Some GORGEOUS songs on there. She does them beautifully, and they really showcase her range. I've noticed that too...I for one have thought often of unsubscribing but haven't gotten around to it...these days I'll delete the newsletter without even reading it when years ago I was a gluttonous Jewel fan. Much of it is moving on with my own life, maybe having less time to check email on the job and also being less interested in Jewel's new image and more recent output. People move on, get married, change careers, etc.....but I haven't unsubscribed yet b/c there are some great people on the list and I still like to keep my ear to the ground. It's interesting how the list has evolved as Jewel's career has evolved...I wasn't an early member but I did join years back when there still was that strong sense of core with the original members...not to diss the list at all now...it's just changed...without Mr. BB, Nedra more in the picture and Mike Connell as the moderator...kind of sad, but life goes on... I just went to see dave matthews last sat night in providence, ri. ive never seen him before & am not really a big fan but my friend loves him & she invited me.( i take her to jewel all the time so she wanted to reciprocate) It was dave & friends, not his normal band. some of the guests were tim reynolds & trey anastacio. anyway, i noticed the guy playing drums for him was the same guy who played drums for jewel during her spirit tour. i could tell because he was playing for daves opening act- emmy lou harris & i remember jewel telling the story of how she jokingly stalked emmy lou harris' drummer til he played with her!!! also- i am thinking of putting together a 4- disc compilation of jewels best live performances from early innerchange stuff thru 2003 shows. tentatively thinking of splitting it up like this- disc 1- 1994-95 disc 2- 1996-97 disc 3- 1999-2000 disc 4- 2002-2003 anyone with ideas of what i could name this collection, let me know. thanks! - -Matt www.phishhook.com/lists/jewelfan ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 17 Dec 2003 23:41:35 +0100 From: "michiel" Subject: [EDA] this way video PREMIERRE on VH1 europe i seen tonite the THIS WAY video from Jewel in full version on Vh1 europe i am so excited!
