Drove from Temecula to LA in 1 hour thank you. I was so tired. Anyway, full report tomorrow. But for now, I just have to say, amazing. Great setlist. I had trouble deciding what song to ask Jewel to sing when I did the Velvet Rope tour, and decided on 1,000 Miles Away (over Studies in Love #12). She sang both. ::gush:: Other goodies: You Are My Sunshine (first time I've heard her do it . kept reading about it but never witnessed), Passing Time, Does Anyone Believe in Love Anymore, Rosy and Mick. That's all I can think of right now. I have to wake up in 3 hours. Hee. I better get to sleep. Anyway, she was in pretty good spirits I think. She was pretty goofy, more than usual. Maybe it was being so close to home . =) She was adorable. I think everyone that participated last time had fun with it, (sadly, it was my idea, and I didn't even join in..lol ) and it could be an interesting way to get to know your fellow EDAs. What is it? Basically everyone will be given a name and addy of another EDA, and everyone will give/recieve a white elephant gift sometime late December. Call it Christmas, solstice, whatever, but just a goofy way to connect with strangers. What is white elephant? Something around your house that you would not mind giving away. Can be Jewel related, does not have to be. It can be a useful item, a joke gift, or just that ugly green lamp you've been wanting to get rid of. Personally, I like comical gifts, but that is just me. Example, one of those great Unedited preprinted autographed photos with a postprinted mustache on Jewel. Is there a price/value limit? Let me stress again, these items should be something you already have laying around the house, but no, there is no price limit... Just remember though, you might give your signed Save the Linoleum cd, and get a half-eaten peanutbutter sandwich. How will the names be assigned? Email me if you want to participate (unless someone else wants to run this thing, which would be fine too.) and the names will randomly be given out. You may not necessarily be getting a gift from the same person you gave one. Can EDAs outside of the US join in the fun? Yes! But please, everyone state if you are willing to ship overseas. It would be fun and best to break things up, having someone in Australia send a gift to someone in Spain, etc. If enough people are willing to ship overseas, then it will work really well. Timeline. I think we can wait two weeks (until Sunday December 7th) before handing out names. That will give a little time to mail. So, there it is, Rowdy ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 24 Nov 2003 19:13:00 -0800 From: "Alisa Petersen" Subject: Re: [EDA] NJC: White Elephant Exchange sounds like an amazing idea!!!!!
