Music videos are expensive to make. In most cases, the video itself is more expensive than the entire album. The money to make the video comes out of Jewel's pocket, and frankly, I think it's smart. It's nice for the fans to have a music video, but her videos don't get played that much on TV anyway. To me, that sounds like a smart move. On a related note, I'd just like to say that I think Jewel is an incredibly smart artist. After learning a bit about the music industry, I've been impressed by her past actions Along the way, she got very good advice I guess. He's really made an album he should be proud of. The definite high point of the album for me, after just a few listens, is 'Music Box'. That song's so beautiful - lyrically, sonically, even vocally (and Steve's not really best known for his beautiful vocals :P). Probably one of the few songs (that isn't by Jason Mraz, hehe) that has really moved me this year. Anyway, yeah, two big thumbs up for Stevie - what does everyone else think? It is a frequent buyer card that costs $9.99 for one year and among other things, it rewards you with a $5.00 coupon for every $125.00 that you spend at Best Buy during the year. The exciting thing is that Best Buy is running a special promotion this week where the card is free. Just go into your local Best Buy and ask for the Reward Zone card. I got mine over the weekend and it didn't cost a thing. Just make sure they scan your new card at the checkout counter so your card is registered in their system.
