In any business.. If you accept a project, do it RIGHT!! Excuses like "we did it on short notice" are lame. Sounds like they got enough complaints about the Pre-Printed Photos and now they are back peddling. At least UnEdited members will get what they paid for. NBC topper Jeff Zucker told reporters in late October that while "Coupling" and "The Lyon's Den" would not air during November sweeps, both would return after the key ratings period. Since said promise, the Peacock axed "Coupling" (read the story) while "Den" has gone through some creative changes. The show's creator, Remi Aubuchon, stepped down as showrunner on the series due to creative differences with Brad Grey Television and 20th Century Fox Television shortly before NBC pulled the show (read the story). Aubuchon reportedly wanted to delve more into the murder mystery mythology established in the pilot while the studios were pushing for more close-ended legal stories. All parties say NBC itself didn't ask for the change however was supportive of the decision. Aubuchon remains as a writer/producer on the show. For its five airings this season, "Den" averaged 10.1 million viewers, off slightly from "Boomtown's" 10.7 million viewer average during the same period last season. Repeats of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" will continue to fill the Sunday, 10:00/9:00c hour until "Den's" return on November 30. "Intent's" November 2 repeat broadcast snagged 10.8 million viewers, the time slot's best numbers since "Den's" pilot episode (12.3 million). This past Sunday NBC aired its telefilm "Saving Jessica Lynch" where it scored 14.9 million viewers. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Nov 2003 13:23:28 -0800 From: "Arthur, Lori" Subject: [EDA] Re: Unedited Photo Melissa said: <> Or maybe they'll say "Hey, they didn't complain when we screwed them over last time, so we don't need to try very hard next time." It would be far easier for these people to forget about the pictures and figuring out who should get one. Obviously they don't have much of an idea because I just received a "photocopy" picture today...and I was only a member of Unedited for the free 30 day trial back in June (maybe I should go there again just to see if I can still get in....). So yes, they might get annoyed and even pissed off at those who bitch about it. But now Jewel's management as well as the companies they hired for the various aspects of Unedited will know that the fans will not put up with being treated this way. Maybe Unedited wasn't really ready for prime-time (and maybe it still isn't) but that is THEIR problem. They need to fix it and make good on their promises. That's what you paid for. If they're not going to do that, they need to refund your money. Sometimes complaining is the best way to get treated well. So whine on!
