Nobody said Jewel fired anybody -- Lenedra has ALWAYS been more interested in the charity part of the business between herself and Jewel. She has stated that in a ton of interviews and most interviews she's done with or about Jewel have been mainly about the charitable aspect of Jewel's career. It is a given that she would move to JUST that aspect of things now -- which is what she is doing (per her goodbye letter) -- because as those things and Jewel's career grows, one person can't handle ALL of it after a certain point. She probably just took the part SHE was most interested in. Plus Jewel's grown up and is more aware of the music business as a whole, and probably doesn't need her mom to protect her interests in the same way she needed to in the beginning. And in his goodbye letter, Mr. BB implied that he was more interested in the archive part of Jewel's career -- I think that's part he said he was interested in (I may be wrong on that part) -- but in other words, again, one person cannot do it all after a certain point. He's still around -- the Grab Bag thing on Unedited is from him, and that is only days old. HOWEVER, I agree with Popbidder totally -- I can't even get Unedited Media to work and I bought the subscription the day it became available. In fact, last night I got so disgusted with the whole site, I wrote customerservice@jeweljk.com a scathing, rambling, LONG email with similar complaints (which I still have a copy of if anyone is interested). They are missing it when it comes to the hard core fans. And her new management, Fansrule and Atlantic suck when it comes to fans. I have no input from the jewel management. I have the idea that they are not capable of bringing jewel to the successlevel she deserves. No 0304 promotion concerts, no major activities like they would have done with Christina Aguilera to push 0304 on the US market. Another record fails after This Way which is sad. because you start to think if the new record 0304 is really the direction Jewel wanted to go. She certainly had lost fans with this new record and people think she is on a different path now. The old school Jewel , i wonder where she is and if she comes back to us die hard fans. I miss Jewel4s raw talents and the trips to Europe to promote Stand. So far in Europe only Spain and Holland (as always) support Stand the 2nd single of Jewel. It is to be requested on dutch TV and it is for a commercial release planned on november the 14th. What is the news in the UK?? Where are the concert promo plans from the Uk WEA label??? Switching WARNER/EASTWEST didn4t swap Jewel4s direction a good way. I am also dissapointed by the input of the official Jewel website. That site is so less informative, so less updated. It is almost a nightmare to me. They have old news, don4t update it and don4t care for fans. Her manager is >really >blowing it.. :( Dee First of all, I have to say that you're either misinformed Dee, or that this is a HUGE exageration. First of all, Soul City Cafe's website is on HIATUS. It wasn't shut down. She even was recently in a magazine shoot with the SCC winners to promote it. Lenedra WAS NOT fired. She told us that she chose to leave to put more effort into HGH, which is NOT gone either. Also, MrBB was NOT fired either. He just isn't working with Jewelink anymore, I believe. We don't really have any idea about the employment of the old Jewel team, how many may of been taken away, or how many may still be there. The only change and problem I think we've had is with Irving Azoff, the new manager. Hes the one that tells people what to do. Its going to definately be different when the boss changes from someone like Lenedra to a corporate guy like Azoff. Its sad, I admit. But who knows, maybe Intuition and 0304 would've got no where without him. Wordwide, this has been her biggest success so far. They're just trying to get her as much exposure as possible to keep sales from getting lower... Not much else to say here, I guess. Okay we recently had the Justified and Stipped tour with Christina and Justin, and last year we had the joint tour with Green Day and Blink 182, and a few years back we had the Soul 2 Soul tour with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, and the 9 1/2 weeks tour with Alanis and Tori Amos. I personally think that Jewel and Sarah should do a joint tour next spring summer. Sarah's management is already leaking out the she will be doing a major amphitheatre outing, and I love sarah to death but I know that she will not sell out a 22,000 seat venue. And if you threw Jewel in one as the only act, she'd only be able to sell out probably San Diego and NYC. So why not do what is becoming more common? Put them in a joint tour. They'd both have full sets, plus an opening act. Put both their names on a bill as doing full sets and I know they would be able to sell out or almost sell out a large venue. They already know eachother from Lilith, and they seamed friendly with eachother, hugging backstage a stuff.
