I was probably the onyl EDA there. Moist people won tickets on the radio or were record industry. The "concert" wasn't all that. SHe played a total of 5 songs, and talked about yodeling to someone. She talked for about 10 minutes about silly jthings, and then took requests. I requested NICOTINBE LOVE which she dismissed as "old" or soemthing like that. The only songs she actually played were INTUITION, STANDING STILL, STAND, and HANDS. I think she did 2 becomes 1, MAYBE. I forgot. then she LEFT. That was the entire concert. Only about 75 people were ALLOWED at this show. I was at the rarest of rare kind of shows. She didnt MEET and GREET after. She left right away. SOme people brought her flowers and things but she didnt come out to take them or let anyone backstage. Well..it was NICE to be at such a small show but it wasnt the best show I have ever seen her do by far. They did serve "free Food" which i guess thrilled the "suits' in the record company (she specifcally stated my "LABEL IS HERE") but i would have given up the sandwhich for a few more SONGS. SUch is life. I have no photos. Cameras wrere strictly prohibited at this show. No one shot any photos. As an aside, I have had great luck seeing JEWEL very close up, and getting in to hard to see shows. I dont know why. I dont have the same luck with BOB DYLAN, ever haha. I don't think anyone on the list has really stated that they've lost respect for Jewel or anything like that, everyone was just pretty shocked for obvious reasons, and did find it dumb for Jewel to do something like that in a public place, a television studio nonetheless, if she didn't want anyone to see. I can agree now that its not really a big deal. And hey, nobody's perfect. I know she would like to be the same kind of "wallflower" as we are at times, but even if she doesn't like it at times, shes a celebrity and needs to be more careful if she doesn't want that out. Anyways, the fact is, like it or not, some people ARE offended. I I'm not offended by the images or the posts, (more like really shocked, because it was so incredibly unexpected) but I KNOW for a fact that MANY people here are and have stated to me firsthand that they are offended. Not by the images, but the crude posts like that. Its not that all sexual comments should be hushed and kept in the bedroom of two married people, because its just crazy. Its just that when one guy is referring to ANY woman in a crude mannor like that none-stop, not just once, but non-stop, it going to offend some, not necesarily all, women. Yes, in some way it is a weird double standard I guess, but each person has their own values and beliefs that they take seriously. I'm just trying to say here is that we cannot forget that this list is a public place, of many many people all with very very different opinions on many issues. Just think about it. If you were in a classy restaurant and all of a sudden a hot woman walked by, would you shout "WOAH, WHAT A NICE PAIR OF TITS!" ? Out of general consideration towards others, I think its best to at least cut down on the crude comments, not silence them, and if you were offended, just ignore it. And just to state again, I agree with your opinions. I'm all for sexual freedom, and agree that we are sexual creatures and it should be expressed. Its just that many people aren't, no matter how we may try to change that, and its always nice to be considerate in a public place. And just for the record, I was just reading my last message. I just want to say in case you understood that when I said "we should ignore this" I was referring to people who were offended by Michiel's posts, not the boobs.
