Wow. The rumour mill sure is churning today, isn't it??? I just have to emphasise one thing here - do not believe everything you read. The Rob Lowe thing is 95% likely to be utter bullshit. The guy that reported it is basically E!'s "gossip monger" and most of what he says is completely untrue anyway. I actually heard that her and Rob Lowe had very good chemistry, and that they're offering her more episodes in the future. I also heard that Jewel herself said that she had a really good time and they were all really nice to her. If she didn't have a good time, she wouldn't have mentioned anything... there's nothing FORCING her to say she had a good time. Plus, I doubt she'd agree to promote the shows she's on (she's appearing on the tonight show nov. 4th as a speaking guest, not a musical guest, to promote the show) if she had a bad experience. And the thing about T-Bone's funeral sounds equally sus. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not. We're never going to know unless someone speaks about it in an interview or whatever. But just remember - a lot of "news blip" type stories are false... a lot of news stories, unless they're press releases, are false, period. I mean how many times did we hear that T-Bone died of a heart attack or a stroke when we know that he died of an anuerism. Misinformation is everywhere. The producers hated her acting, and Lowe thought she was a ''ninny.'' On top of all that, Jewel's refusal to kiss Lowe, as called for in the script, proved the final straw. What had been proposed as a recurring role is now dead in the water. http://www.suntimes.com/output/zwecker/cst-ftr-zp10.html Peace, Mark _________________________________________________________________ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 10 Oct 2003 20:55:24 EDT From: MicheleMarie333@aol.com Subject: Re: [EDA] Lyon's Den News ahh! i hate all this shit news about jewel if thats true, they suck anyway!!! jewel is too good for them ;) poor jewel :( michele *jewelsnumber1fan* ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 10 Oct 2003 23:24:57 -0230 From: "Mark Austin" Subject: [EDA] Is MrBB back? His post said, and I quote "But like all good things eventually, this alter-ego phase of my life is coming to an end. I've had many unforgettable experiences and some of the most enjoyable have been the opportunities I've had to meet many of you at events and concerts over the years." and "It's Jewel's creative process and prolific nature that has always intrigued me and how she applies it to recording and performing that maintains my interest and respect. I may stay on in this capacity, but will no longer be involved in other areas, including the websites, calendar management or communicating to you through JeweLink" Seems pretty clear to me that things were up in the air then and he could very well stay on in his original role, that being sound and video archival.
