Their lyrics, music, ideas and voices come together in a unique and compelling way. Although, I have to say that "The Sound of Silence" will always be my favorite because it way my first. So I decided to see the colors they chose for each song and I discovered something interesting. Have a look: Dark Blue: 1) Stand 6) Fragile Heart 13) America Green: 2) Run 2 U 5) 2 Find U 9) Haunted 14) Becoming Pink: 3) Intuition 7) Doin' Fine 10) Sweet Temptation White: 4) Leave The Lights On 12) U&Me=Love Black: 8) 2 Become 1 11) Yes U Can Sooooo, isn't that interesting? Lol... I guess the songs that are in the same group have some sort of pattern/similarities. Some are very true: Stand/America (dark blue) ; Intuition/Doin' Fine (pink) ; Run 2 U/2 Find U/Becoming (green) - I can't understand why Haunted is in this group. Of course, I don't agree with them all: Sweet Tempation and U&Me should have switched colors. ST is much more "white" and U&Me is much more "pink", IMO. Anyway, hehe... I'm not crazy!!!! I find that this manner of synesthesia fairly common in musicians (though also in people who listen to music as well). Ofra Harnoy (the renown cellist) has also said that this happens to her when she plays. Other types of synesthesiacs might see colours in written words. Not by Jewel Kilcher. I did find several different compilations titled Woman to Woman. However Jewel is not listed as being on any of them. I thin that the Netscape page must be wrong. :) Mi Rinda - -----Original Message----- From: Mark Austin [mailto:markisaustin@hotmail.com] Sent: Sunday, September 14, 2003 9:15 AM To: Jewel@smoe.org Subject: [EDA] unheard singles?/review Hey guys, I'm just looking around the Netscape Music artist page for Jewel, found here: http://artistinfo.netscape.com/cg/x.dll?UID=9:59:30|AM&p=netscape&sql=1:2261 1 It contains a pretty comprehensive list of singles and albums, but also features two pre-WWSYS singles, "Woman to Woman" and "For The Last Time." It even has a little info on each when you click on them, for example: Album Information Woman to Woman Artist Jewel Album Title Woman to Woman Date of Release Dec 13, 1994 Genre Rock Type single Album Releases: 1994 CS Atlantic 98185 I'm just really curious about what these songs are like, if they even exist. Anyone have any idea? Also, on that page, I also found a great review for 0304, found here: http://artistinfo.netscape.com/cg/x.dll?UID=9:59:30|AM&p=netscape&sql=2:6406 10 I wont paste it in my e-mail because its so long, but its definately worth reading.
