You get to take a backstage tour, receive an exclusive gift, enjoy your guaranteed seat in the first ten rows, and best of all, meet Jewel before the show! All for only $195 that's cheaper than tickets are going for on Ebay and all you get on those auctions are the good seats. Also Michael failed to mention that you can also buy tickets for $65 that will get you gauranteed first 20 rows and a T-shirt. It also states that all shipping and handling, and fees are included in that price. So $65 TOTAL for a ticket in the first 20 rows, that's pretty good. And if you don't think so, then don't buy them, buy your tickets through ticketmaster and get bad seats for about the same price after they add on shipping and service fees. If she was coming to my city I would definatly take advantage of this offer. I don't like the direction the website is going at all. This new management is messing with the wrong fan base, and I'm sure this will show (well, I hope). The old website was much better and Jewel Unedited was much more pleasent to look at. Now lets go to Jewel Unedited. I think it is sad that they feel the need to charge $195 per person to get a lil backstage tour and meet Jewel. And why would they announce that after most people already got their tickets from the presales. So now I have tickets from the presales, which are terrible seats. And certainly not the first 10 or 20 rows. So now I have to pay an additional $400 to get the Velvet Rope Tour (sorry Janet already used that). And now I will have 4 tickets, 2 of which I don't need. And of course, there are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. Are we going to be able to just pay the difference to get the backstage tour? There are no anwers of course becuase of the new managements lack of communication...and on the website, there are no details on how to contact them. I think that Jewel made a huge mistake switching management. Do you think that if Nedra was still by her side as manager that they would've allowed charging $195 to meet Jewel? Whatever happened to taking care of the people who take care of you. I think this is all pretty silly. Jewel is not Britney Spears or Madonna and she will not be selling out an arena anytime soon. This is something that I would expect from them, not her. And just a note, on the Justified and Stripped tour you need only be a fan club member to meet Justin and Chrisitina to get a backstage tour, not dish out any more money. She has a very dedicated fanbase, and I feel that something like this will alienate some of her true fans. I think some of this needs to be thought over again, and it would sure be nice if someone had some answers. x x x x x x x Jewel 0304 Tour On-Sale Now! www.jeweljk.com OR www.ticketmaster.com What's In My Cd Player: Jewel - 0304 Kelly Clarkson - Thankful Ashanti - Chapter II Matt's Song of the Week: "Low" - By Kelly Clarkson ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 31 Aug 2003 16:17:01 EDT From: MicheleMarie333@aol.com Subject: [EDA] velvet backstage tour I was just reading about the velvet backstage tour, and for 2 tickets it'd be like $400 ...That freakin sucks, i mean its awesome all the stuff that comes with it, but I was hoping when they meant "Chances to meet Jewel backstage" They were going to have some sort of contests or something, not dish out that much money, I'm a student/waitress, I'm 18, my mommy doesn't give me money, theres no way I could afford that, that really sucks, I wish I didn't pay for unedited now :\ michele *jewelsnumber1fan* ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 31 Aug 2003 22:37:39 +0200 From: "michiel" Subject: [EDA] =?iso-8859-1?Q?Jewel=B4s_management?= hey jewelfans, i think we can do two things, or not go to the shows or to live with the facts... anyway we are jewelfan and love to see jewel perform. and yeah i find it way too much $ 200 for a ticket with a little meet and greet.... but you got meet and greet....so that is the good thing about! jewel is back in the music business and trys to stay an influence.. jewelland is back after i removed all my frames recently.....i am back with my frames on my wall....today i realised how much impact jewel still has in my life! bye michiel ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 31 Aug 2003 18:02:53 -0300 From: "Fabio" Subject: [EDA] New songs More new songs from the EMI database: "I'm Your World (Not Just A Girl)" - Jewel / Lester Mendez "PRAG (Punk Rock Angel Girl)" - Jewel / Lester Mendez LOL!!!!! I think it is sad that they feel the need to > charge $195 per person to get a lil backstage tour and meet Jewel. And why > would they announce that after most people already got their tickets from the Probably because different people were working on putting together the deals, or they didn't know they could do the package deal, or because people didn't think of it. I always view issues like this with some mixed emotions, because I've known enough folks in the industry to realize one thing: They're not any smarter or more organized than the rest of us, and they're working in a very weird world. Whether they're nice people or not, they're never going to be told anything someone didn't specifically want them to know. They make mistakes like the rest of us, but are often so cut off from useful information that they're often working from little AND wrong information. I'd like to see them do better, but I understand how hard it is for them to ever realize there's going to be a problem. [...] > have 4 tickets, 2 of which I don't need. And of course, there are no refunds, > exchanges, or cancellations. Are we going to be able to just pay the difference > to get the backstage tour? There are no anwers of course becuase of the new I'd bet on "not." If you care that much, sell the other tickets. Someone will buy them, unless even these smaller venues aren't selling out, in which case there was little reason to bother using the presale. I'm guessing that Jewel is still popular enough to sell out the venues chosen. There are no answers because (see above) no one figured there'd be any problems. They just figured it'd be nice to give fans a way they could guarantee meeting Jewel, since she's still popular enough that she no longer has time to meet everyone who'd like to meet her. It never occured to them that people would rather NO ONE meet her. If you can't afford the specal deal, don't buy the package, and hope you get a chance to meet her some other time/way. You do not own Jewel. Suggesting they shouldn't have done this deal is, in fact, saying you resent other people having this chance to meet her. Just a reminder. some folks can't get tickets at all. Whether the tickets are cheap or not, consider yourself fortunate you can go. If you'd rather Jewel were so unpopular that anyone could meet her in a coffeeshop and she was sick most of the time because she couldn't eat right and deal with her kidneys, perhaps it's time to re-examine your life priorities. Instead of focussing on how much you feel this deal sucks, why not write emails, letters, faxes, whatever, suggesting contests for those members who can't afford to buy it? If a lot of members suggest it, they'll get the hint and maybe do something about it. Those of you who joined unedited still have more of a voice than those of us in the anonymous majority. Hey guys, I have a tape of Jewel stuff I tape from tv. The video for Intuition is on it. Anyways, I was just watching it, and during the runway-crosswalk scene, when they show snapshots of Jewel going onto the covers of magazines, did I see "van decor" written on one of the magazines? I thought it was a funny little tidbit. Anyone else notice this?
