Gosh it's been ages since I wrote to all of you. The last few months = have been a blur, between finishing school fulltime (which meant = approximately one billion assignments), getting and starting and = learning - and still learning - a new job, and now preparing to move = into a place that needs more paint, cleaning and tlc than just about = anything I've ever seen. Who knew a 2 x 4 space could take so much = work? (sigh) Even amidst the craziness, though, the songs keep coming = at a ferocious pace. Sadly, there's been almost no time to demo them. = =3D( When I do find a spare hour or two at home on my hands, I grab the = opportunity to catch some zzzzs! Please feel free to pop by the site and sign the guestbook! I've thrown = a few new rough demos onto the music page. Since I write way more than = I could ever afford to record for albums, putting them on the site is my = way of sharing some tunes that'll probably never be released. A couple = of these songs may find their way onto my record, but we'll see... And = speaking of my record, can you believe it looks like it's finally going = to happen?! I'll be recording beginning in October with a lovely human = being who I'll tell you more about next time. That's it for now. Take = care of yourselves and in a world full of so much rage, let's all try to = be forces for good in each other's lives. You can find it at this address: http://pub70.ezboard.com/fmusicpromosdiscussionfrm14.showMessage?topicID=2449.topic I also wanted to mention that I was watching Australian Idol Extra on Channel [V] (kinda like an aussie MTV) and one girl was going in and was planning on singing You Were Meant For Me! I thought that was cool anyhow! cya Steve. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 3 Aug 2003 12:58:42 EDT From: rawhite78@aol.com Subject: [EDA] NJC: Share some music ideas Hey, So what have you been listening to lately that others might want to hear? In other words, I want to hear something new (or rather 'new-to-me')! Personally, I have been in a Motown kick the past day or two with such as: Sam Cooke's "A Change's Gonna Come" or Smokey Robinson's "Track of My Tears" or Otis Redding's "Been Loving you Too Long" So, go ahead, share! There are 5 more rows of open seats to fill in the back, and then we will have a sell-out. Still plently of days before the show so my educated guess is that Jewel will sell out her concert in ATLANTA! Boston- Boston is nearing a sellout too. Seats are only avaible in section 4 and 6, and more than halfway back in those sections. Still plently of tickets left, but lets hope for a sellout becuase it is more than possible Albany - Its seams that they will not be seating people in the upper nose-bleed seats of the arena. So that leaves us with the lower level seating and the floor. The lower level is FULL from the stage until alittle more than halfway back. Then the sections are about half full. There are MANY MANY MANY floor seats available. With the configuration that they seam to be using, it is possible that the show might sell out but my guess is that it will be almost full, not sold-out. It will be a good size crowd for her arena show. More shows are going on sale this month so IL'll keep you up to date! + + + + + + + Jewel's new album 0304 in stores NOW!!!! + What I'm listening to: "Run 2 U" By Jewel "Love Me Like That" By Michelle Branch "Crazy In Love" By Beyonce ft. A friend of mine works at the Gap and he told me that Jewel (along with Missy Elliot and Madonna) is going to be one of their new spokespeople. Anyways, he told me this about two weeks ago and I was really excited. Tonight I saw an ad that featured MIssy and Madonna but no Jewel. I was wondering if anyone else has heard anything about this or if there was any truth to this rumor. xoxo ashley staggers the sweet angel ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V8 #343 ***************************
