Its nice to have an opinion, but to be so rude about it is horrible! I don't even think Nedra has anything to do with SoulCity Cafe.... Yeesh. Leave her out of this, because you are just being incredibly rude. Nedra has not been "knocked off" from Jewel and her life. Shes just not manager anymore. Everyday Angels for sure... Some things are just UNNECESARY and although you may think so, they are not cool or humourous at all. I really demand an apology in this case. You're being incredibly rude. SoulCity Cafe is not some silly little promotional thing. Its something that truely relates to Jewel because she used to be at the same point as the musicians/artists that she is promoting. This is real music, and it is good music. Maybe you should give it the time of day before bashing this entire project, which Jewel herself obviously puts a lot of time and heart into. Blah. I'm not going to go into a huge rant here. But man, how utterly rude could you possibly get. Show a little consideration. The press is not really supporting her, no matter what she invents with her music, the total atmosphere in Europe is still dazzling for me the dutch jewelfan. I interpret the relation with the press as very shitty. The people from down under are more positive in their attitude to jewel and the press. But that is because the MAN @ work....she made nervous...made me breakfast.....do you come from Land down under.....Land down under.....are more positive. The only thing jewel should worry about is to get enough european venues to do shows for the fans.... I do not care about anything else, than her shows. The shows of jewel are amazing, cool and it is always a sensation to see jewel in concert. i love her dresses, her creations, her voice , it is just the best live act in the world.... Jewel must support more shows being booked by concert masters! I watched the video the other day of the guy who won the director contest. I just think the whole thing is totally cool. It's totally what I'm into: encouraging people to be their own artist. Jewel's showing that it's possible. We entered via Soul City CafC), where she takes up-and-comers, like myself, out on the road with her. She gave us a chance. We did two weeks with her and they just went great. We got such a great response. Now we're going to be opening for Dave Matthews next month. Three dates: Florida, Atlanta and Chicago. And that scares the hell out of me. But definitely a big step for us. It's probably the biggest thing we could be doing as a band. I mean, you're guaranteed up to twenty thousand people in front of you each night. And that's huge. We're really proud of thatbthat we got invited to do that. I like to think it was extended to us because of the great run we had in September, on the Jewel tour. Honestly, that was our first major tour. And we had a lot of love from her crowd and a lot of love from everyone surrounding it.
