Hey guys I'm a little late with all this... and I won't be able to do any more of these updates for a few weeks as I'm going away. I'll be unable to access email till late July so I'll be absent from the online Jewel happenings! Hopefully great things happen in the land of airplay and sales while I'm gone. I'm not too sure what happened with the airplay by the final update on Sunday. I'm pretty sure that Jewel ended up at #17 or #16 (up from #18). Right now she's #15 but I don't think she'll make it through the final update that high cause Lil' Kim's song with 50 Cent is rising very fast and should take over any day now. But she should be #16 by the end of this week, which would match her peak from a week or two ago. Her gains are strong again (+220). At Hot AC she moved from #11 to #9 and has a +180 gain at the moment. The album dropped from #12 to #18 on the Hits chart selling another 43 000 copies (18% percent less than last week). The drops are decreasing every week (percentage wise), which is good. I hope the album can at least stick around in the Top 20 for a while longer. It's all up to Intuition and the airplay now! In other exciting news - Intuition jumped from #11 to #5 on the World Airplay Chart this week. If this song breaks out in Europe it could be Jewel's first bonifide worldwide smash hit... YWMFM was a big hit but never made it to Europe. It's exciting to hear that Jewel is going to be promoting heavily in Europe both in July *and* when the single/album comes out. Also I've heard a trip to Australia is planned in August to do press. My web page for the this EDA list, while very outdated and in need of infusion of newer info, still gets about 400 hits a month (350 to 450 each month the first four months this year), climbed to 750 hits in May and it spiked in June with over 1300, and already 230+ this month, so that's obviously related to the release of 0304 last month. Compared to other fan-based Jewel sites that's a very, very low hit count but for a site that gets zero publicity that's a lot more than I was expecting. So I imagine more than a few new folk find out via my site, referred to from search engines and other Jewel sites that have either a link to the EDA site or has how-to-join info about this list. Its from Clear Channel's "Out Front." Its the one where she was wearing the long gold skirt and white tanktop? Anyways, she took a lot of pics and these are great looking. Theres even one of her doing *gasp* an acoustic set! Anyways, the photos were originally huge, and to make the filesize smaller she shrunk them down a little (she doesn't know how to convert bmp to jpeg, which is too bad) but they are still very viewable and great quality. They kick wireimage's ass. Really great pics. Jewel looks so happy and cute! Anyways, sorry to be a teaser, but anyone willing to host these online for everyone else to see e-mail me and I'll e-mail them to you or send them over AIM. I've since converted them to jpeg, so they arent too large in filesize. Sorry guys but I don't have my own webspace! She took two rolls worth, and picked out the best 18 to scan.
