Well - Jewel has not only got a new publishing deal, she's also getting a new manager! According to this report from Billboard, Nedra is now only going to be focussing on the charity-related endeavours. I also heard a rumour that she has signed with Irving Azoff, who is also Christina Aguilera's (among many others) manager. Or at least she's just doing charity from now on. I read a rumour this morning that Jewel has signed with Irving Azoff as her new manager (he is Christina Aguilera's manager).... and I wasn't sure whether to believe it or not... then I read an article from Billboard that basically states that Jewel is seeking new management... she met with a number of the biggest in the industry last week. So we should have an announcement any minute now. This could NOT be better. Nedra is NOT a businesswoman and has been holding Jewel back in her career for ages - as we've always complained. Jewel will finally get a decent manager now. yippeee. On a less exciting note - Intuition is now +54 or something really ridiculous and has lost a tons of spins and audience figures from yesterday. I have a feeling this is the end. She's +35 at Hot AC too. This sucks!! *Hopefully* she can bounce back but I'm thinking it's unlikely. She is #16 now though cause J-Lo is dropping like a brick. Standing Still debuted very low and rose to quite a high peak position, so perhaps the same thing will happen with Intuition. Steve PS - I wonder what the movie is that Jewel is starting at the end of June. It can't be Wave cause she would've mentioned that in the interview.
