Hey Michiel I got a reply back from MrBB. He basically said that he doubts that pre-sale tickets will be available in Europe. The reason for this (as I suspected) is that Europe does not have a centralised ticketing agency, like ticketmaster. Each promoter and venue have their own way of selling tickets, be it through the box office or through a specific service. So running pre-sales would be almost impossible, and an administrative nightmare. The reason it's possible in the USA is because there is ONE company that sells tickets all across the US - and that's Ticketmaster. They have a special pre-sale system that they offer to artist management, to make the process possible. He said he wasn't going to say that Europe would be excluded from special events... because he wasn't sure of that part of the plan yet. He also said that there will be considerably more contribution from Jewel, and he's having fun digging through vintage audio and video to include. So there you go. He said he would be making all this clear so that international fans can make an educated decision. My two cents, Mi Rinda ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 06 Jun 2003 13:50:56 -0400 From: Rebecca Boyer Subject: [EDA] next single, 0304 thoughts i voted for "2 find u" and i do love that song since i heard it on "the today show". it's my favorite song on the CD. as i keep listening, i'm thinking "becoming" might be a good single. i'm liking it more each time i hear it and i think it's radio friendly with a msg. as for my opinion on the CD, the first listen through was shocking, not negatively though. it is just not your typical jewel CD. also what's different is with the other CDs, i had heard songs off the CD before it came out, so that the variations (if any) were not suprising. this is all new stuff written purposely to be rhythmic and fun. i hear the fun in the CD; music and lyrics. i can imagine jewel having a blast writing it and recording it. "fragile heart" is reminiscent of the other "fragile heart" and it did cross my mind that it could be used in a Sobe commercial (as someone else said something about sobe). So in general the whole INTUITION campaign started to be jewel4s first SUCCESFULL 0304 record!! I think i sWEar that it has a lot to do with her sexy new image, that helps to build the image4s mind to sell the record.. it is a very neat tool and everyone remembered how shakira and lester mendez teamed up and now jewel is back with a number one record..
