Horray! At pop, she was in serious danger of losing her bullet earlier in the week with spin gains as low as +63... but she managed to get it together and winded up moving from #22 to #21 with a gain of +200. That makes Intuition officially a bigger hit than Standing Still on pop radio... after just 6 weeks on the chart! Well done Jewel! After the final update for this weeks chart she actually made it to #20... which is great.... but it won't show up until next week's chart. This week is a pretty important week on pop radio for Jewel... because she's hit a point where there are a lot of songs fighting to get into the Top 15, and the Top 10...and Jewel gains are the lowest among them. However, I think ultimately for Jewel - slow and steady wins the race. If we can just keep the song bulleted, and with a reasonable gain... she'll just slowly rise up the chart and all the huge hype songs around her will come and go. Plus, the promotion that comes along with the record will give her a boost hopefully when she needs it... However, a more appropriate gain level would be +350-450, not +200.... so keep requesting! She's got Divas Live and some radio station festivals this week, so that should help. At Hot AC she remained at #15 for the third week in a row because that stupid Santana song started gaining again. She passed him AFTER the final update... and should pass John Mayer this week so on next week's chart she should be at #13. Gains are still reasonably healthy at around +120. Try to request at stations you can actually hear - and try to focus on the pop stations rather than the Hot AC stations, cause they're probably more important at this point. Although Hot AC stations are important too - this song is much poppier than Standing Still and the only reason it's done as well as it has on Hot AC is because it's Jewel... but I'm sure it can go Top 10, perhaps Top 5. Also - calling is better than emailing.
