For sure "Intuition" is not my favourite song (and propably it never will be... ), but for promotion this is good song and in my opinion, sa as said, the more we listen to it, we more we like it. But for sure there are ppl who don't like it at all, and ppl who love it (and I don't want to figt with them :-) It's funny for her (and all the team I think), creative and thanks to this she will be more popular (but yes, I prefere the situation when my favourite artist is not the most popular artist :-). It wasn't at all what I was expecting.... in fact it was better than what I was expecting. All the little references to ads etc were REALLY well done (levis, the nike with the J as the swoosh, the corona ad, the sprite commercial). I was expecting the piss-take of pop videos in general, but not all the little ironic references to commercials and commercialization in general. I think anyone who wants to dispute the real meaning of this song now... is... well... insane. I loved the contrast between the home video style shots and the "glam" shots.. I think it's good that they spaced those out throughout the whole video cause it gives you a really good contrast of the "normal" Jewel and the "commercialised glamed-up Jewel". I LOVED the huge "Big Pimpin" sign with the "$$$"..... and the crosswalk turned runway was probably my favourite look... just in terms of the way Jewel looked. But the whole thing was great. The TRL thing was also hilarious. I've been to a few message boards and I've seen tons of comments about it (from non jewel fans as well) who say they think it's hilarious and EXTREMELY well done and creative. A lot of people were sayinjg it's one of the best videos they've seen this year. I think if the song does go on to be a hit, this video will definitely get a bunch of MTV Video Music Award nominations. It's far and away Jewel's most creative and interesting video. I think it's definitely her best. That was the second highest debut for the week. Steve PS - Glad to hear the song is already in the VH1 Top 20 and being played on the hour at MTV. High MTV rotations are a very big indicator to radio stations as to whether or not a song is taking off... it can almost make or break a song.
