"America-i hate it...i really do, sorry but i never say anything bad about Jewel...it sucks she sounds like a chipmunk" She sounds like a chipmunk in some songs and a man in others. It's because the songs are slowed down or sped up. It sucks but at least you can get an idea of the lyrics. I really really LOVE "U and me", you must listen to that one. And i think the line about the preacher sportin abercrombie wear is funny in "America" Jake _________________________________________________________________ Tired of spam? Um... if you want to put them on your own site.. please give me credit for them... (i have a note on the site saying mostly everything). give credit to "Jewel Worshiper" or "JW" ;) it doesn't matter. 1 of the 2, lol. enjoy! ok so... i think thats all... (MP3s)!!! It was a really good interview and I was so impressed by Jewel's knowledge and appreciation of Nina Simone. And she knows Josephine Baker, the "Jazz Cleopatra" as her biography calls her! I'd love Jewel to do more Nina Simone songs; she does "The Other Woman" so well. And she should do some Billie Holiday too. Now that would be special. Take care, Barry Howarth And since it seems clear there's no one leading us here The only thing left it appears is to task ourselves to be better each time, than those before us We'll be an army of thieves, of self-freed slaves, of mild-mannered maids We'll fight with whispers and blades So get ready, a new day is dawning JK ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 25 Apr 2003 21:10:57 -0700 From: "Ian Jones" Subject: [EDA] Re: 0304 Well, I downloaded the zip from Michiel's site, (Thanks, Michiel!) and whereas I was a little concerned about the techno-ness of the album, I've gotta say that these files have put those worries to rest, even though there were only about 30 seconds or so per song. I can't wait for 0304! It sounds like it'll be a great album - a good followup to This Way (which I still think is her best work; I loved POY, but have a very very slight preference for TW. Anyway [no pun intended.]) well. that's about it. Didn't have anything earth shattering to say. ;) Ian, the angel who rarely posts. (PS, and very off topic: weren't there a bunch of regional-EDA email lists? I seem to remember I was on one for Northern California. Am I hallucinating?
