It was written and produced with album collaborator Lester Mendez, and is the lead single from her fifth album, "0304," slated for release on June 3rd. I gotta say I'm not crazy about it, but I suppose I'll get used to it. I can't tell you how many times something was posted on an official site like MTV.com, VH1.com, USAToday.com and even the Goodwill Games web site a few years back and *many* times the "official" news from a source other than the J-team turned out to be not true at all. Again, it may indeed turn out to be "0304", but I for one won't be etching that one in stone until I see the CD packaging artwork online at jeweljk.com or atlantic-records.com or the J-team says it's etched in stone. I have let my mind really boggle on it. The way she is going to leave her roots behind her is impressive. I always thought Jewel didn4t care about hits eg i mean that she tries to get number one hits. Her music is honest, but for the first time in my Jewelfanism period since 1997 i believe that Jewel is going to be huge!! The circumstances are so evident that Jewel is doing new things which she hadn4t done before! She gets a deal from a razor company for her great written song Intuition, she is presented as performing star on VH1 diva4s. All in total it is very neat what is happening with Jewel lately. I always thought Jewel would stay little and not extremly known. But i feel the chances for Jewel are turning, and this could be definitely be her year !! All she does lately turns into gold. Her decisions, her way she enters cool shows is almost too cool to describe. She is doing a summer New york Central Park concert for free, she is doing a cool show in Texas. I feel sorry for my self not living in the USA right now, i hope there are still some cool things left for us.. What i do feel is that Jewel4s image is changing, but please agree with me that it is not so cool to see Jewel performing in big discotheques or clubs. Jewel is still a way to great performer to see her playing songs at private shows. I do admit that the songs on her upcoming record 0304 hehe, what a title isn4t it!!, will be from outstanding quality. I think it will be one great pleasure for your ear. Jewel always did so now and then some cool tvshows in America, but now we can for the first time receive some of the cool things that are going to happen with Jewel on TV in Europe! That never happened before, i am already aiming my satdish for receiving the great divas show! The duets, the songs from Jewel that will be performed makes me just as JC from France excited. The way Jewel is now publicising herself in the musicindustry and the attention that she receives touches me deeply. It is great to see that final some people really start to understand what a precious stone (gem) jewel is!! Lester Mendez was certainly a good choice to pick as producer, and wait and see Jewel will get a number one hit in America. I bet that also Intuition will get easily a top 10 hit in Holland, and i foresee success in UK, Germany and France and Spain. Even in Scandanivia i expect decent airplay!!! Actually - to look at the future releases you have to look at Staind which comes out 2 weeks previous to the Jewel release. Sugar Ray and Train will likely not debut that highly in the top 10. But, Staind's Break the Cycle CD debuted at number 1 and dominated for over a month. Of course - you sometimes never know with the fickle public - then there are releases immediately following the June 3rd date. Have to wait and see.
