I know how impatient I get waiting for these things to cook, so I can relate to the "serve the thing already" message in this song. The line "Who says a woman cannot serve..." reflects equal opportunity for both sexes to prepare this dish. The line "Eat the flesh, spit out the seeds" in my opinion totally reflects how you can top Eggos with a variety of great toppings. This song makes me hungry everytime I listen to it. Jewel is more mature, and she is a woman of the world. You can see the self confidence for the new record, and the new way she dresses is just lovely. The more colours, the more you know she is a down to earth beautiful girl. Jewel is now on the new step in her carreer and i am sure this new path will lead her to a lot of successes. She works hard for it, so now the fans all over the world, will be aware of the talents that jewel has! i am sure the new record will give us a lot of good vibes and i am already having fever about thinking of the new record!!! Jewel is just always amazing, and this is no exception for the new cd!! bye michiel ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 16 Mar 2003 10:07:38 +0100 From: "Stefan Frisk" Subject: [EDA] CD cover and album title I really hope that is not the CD cover for the next single. It takes me right back to the the 804s when I grew up. A period I don4t want to relive again. I am not the greatest Jewel expert but besides the face it doesn4t look like her at all. As for the Album title. Maybe she would just put dots on it and we could name it whatever we want when we buy it ? It would obviously be called Dots in the shops. Best wishes Stefan, Sweden. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 16 Mar 2003 11:12:21 +0100 From: "Michiel" Subject: [EDA] a new domain name ... hello jewelfans, I have updated my jewel site with the two latest photos of Jewel for Intuition and the book. Just my 1.5 cents ():o) elissa > I vote for "DANCE". Seems to make sense. I'm a big fan of the coffeehouse > acoustic Jewel, but I'm excited to hear this new music. First of all Jewel says the the album is energetic and animated is a synonym of energetic. Second animated implies creativity and modivaion. Third if youve every listened to 80's music you cant help but dance or at least tap your toes when listening. Fourth the videos and fashions of the 80s and early 90's were full of bright neon colors and animation in music videos (think AH-HA) And finally It seems to just roll of the tounge. Think about it. And with the new covers from Intuition Jewel shows her many sides that she can create for us fans. Her music, will still be Jewelike. Her great voice, her beautiful expressive lyrics are not going to to change, but she will wear will definitely change with this new outfits. I am curious to find out the other photos from her photoshoot for the record!! I think it is a good thing that Jewel is considering a new image on the world music market. Of course Jewel wants to keep being new and fresh, and her new approach will me certainly not dissapoint. It is also nice that she opted to work with another producer which will help her , i am convinced, to get more radioplay on the US market. Her new record is in my globe going to be a huge succes. I am sure that every next step that Jewel does, will make her more and more famous!! She is still very down to earth, she is still a rockergirl forever!!! I am enjoying the photos, but Jewel doesn4t need to get more slim. She is so beautiful that she must be aware that she needs to stay true to her idols. I think Jewel was perhaps also a little bored by the old image, and therefor the change helped Jewel to fruit her fans with new passion and music! At least i hope the new cd will be released in holland soon, but i contacted warner music benelux and they didn4t contact me back, so i have to see what they have for news! but the more the release of intuition comes close, the more curious you are going to be. Will it be as we all supposed good, or will it be thrilling and exciting thru all your veins?? i hope for the last thing, and the video will be shocking cool. Perhaps a cartoonstory inside of the video like Shakira did for Objection Tango is a nice thing. Those first lyrics looked promosing and i am sure that Jewel4s other songs are going to be the bomb for sure !! I am going to $$$$$$$$$ money for the new exciting promo tour if jewel does that of course hehe!!! i want to see personally what the new style of jewel will look like :) take care jewelfans!! bye Michiel the dutch jewelfan, soon with an own domain name http://dutchtribute.jewelgallery.nu/ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 16 Mar 2003 10:14:08 EST From: JeWeLzKeWL@aol.com Subject: [EDA] Name for Jewel Album I think she should name it "Lightning" - -Jade ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 16 Mar 2003 12:29:39 EST From: Mrazfan@aol.com Subject: Re: [EDA] Jewel Review ok those are obvioiusly fake lol... first of all, no. no one's that... stupid. secondly, it has similar structure to the "Serve the Negro" review (also on Amazon)... they're both mistaking her song titles off the album for something that we would all laugh at, and then it basically picks some lyrics and "explains" them to us to go along with the misinterpreted title... which again, we all probably laughed at. I seriously doubt the veracity of those reviews... funny though, yes. but doesn't exactly help sales if other prospective buyers take it seriously... er... yeah. Both of those shots of *Jewel* are VERY beautiful! Simple..yet sexy, seductive, and elegant. For the album title, what about "Arriba!!" To me it's an energetic, happy..upbeat word..that would make me think of dancing..and it also means up! (Spanish) Sounds spiffy to me. ;o) - -Tamarrah Yahoo! "It's nothing really salacious," a pal tells the New York Post. "They are still friends. They just decided to split last weekend." She's releasing a "creatively adventurous" album in June, which was recorded with rap and hip-hop producers, says the "pal," sounding suspiciously like a publicist.
