Shame since it's a brilliant song Yeah, it WAS shockingly ordinary, wasn't it? Too bad. Would have been really neat if they chose one of the finalists the judges sent on. Still, it was a very fun project. You believe it was over 4 yeras ago? (late 1998) >What ever happened to all those entries? They're right here on my hard drive. I imagine some of the judges saved copius of them all. I must have sent each of the 213 entries to all the judges, right? Any other judges out there that recall for certain? Thanks for choosing me by the way. I wished I saved the entries, but I lost everything. My hard drive blew. I remember the entries coming in day and night, I was very excited. And I can't believe it's been over 4 years! Late 98/99 was the first time I met Steve poltz! Means I've been on the list for over 6 years? Since I was 13/14. My god. I've been engaged, un-engaged (not a word I realise), moved to the other side of the world, and back all in that time. It's good to think back, sometimes. Now it's back to work. You really have to hear it before you get the idea of it. Going with the trend of one-word names I was thinking maybe "Fly" or something. Something light, carefree, catchy, and energetic all in one. Perhaps "Fly" is too earthy for the album? Perhaps not? I just can't wait... *drool* And Dave, lighten up! We are only having a little fun discussion on album names. Its interesting to read what people think. And yes actually, our thoughts have mattered in the past... Remember the e-mail Lenedra thing a week or two ago? So just have a little fun! Guys, hasn't it been really cool with all the messages Jewel has been sending us? I love them! Thank you, Jewel! And talk about fandom and power... Just taking the time to write 1 or 2 paragraphs out of your day, and those paragraphs making the days of so many people... Jewel is lucky to be able to do that. On the Poltz thing, I really doubt they didn't spend time together because of Ty. Hes been at a few 2000 shows with her(I have two of them), and she was with Ty then. I think Poltz has just been a little absent concert-wise over the duration of This Way. No biggie, they are still allowed to be really good friends. And if they broke up or not: oh well, whatever rocks her socks! Peace, Mark >I guess if this is true it might explain why she is spending time with = >Poltz >again. Correct me if I'm wrong because I am not as "into" Jewel as the = >rest >of you are, but...she hasn't done many shows with him since she has been >with Ty has she? Now all of the sudden she pops up at one of his shows = >to >sing along with him. Who knows, I am simply speculating. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2003 23:15:23 EST From: JeWeLNuMbEr1FaN@aol.com Subject: Re: [EDA] Album title/message >>>>names I was thinking maybe "Fly" or something. Seems to make sense. I'm a big fan of the coffeehouse acoustic Jewel, but I'm excited to hear this new music. I like the idea of "Endless Dawn" which is from not only the title of her book written during the Spirit Tour, but also the last two words of her poem "The Slow Migration of Glaciers" from A Night Without Armor.
