WOW! I just found this article. Obviously can't say if it's true but if they did split they deserve their privacy. I wanted to send this along because of the comments made about the new album as well. I also take this with a grain of salt, it's listed as gossip and as you read farther into it's got that gossipy sound to it...looking for a hot date comment I doubt that. Anyway... ~Angela NY POST/PAGE SIX...(scroll down page) JEWEL and her cowboy, Ty Murray, have decided to call it quits after five years. "It's nothing really salacious," said a Jewel pal. "They are still friends. They just decided to split last weekend." Jewel is said to be gearing up for the June 3 release of the "creatively adventurous" album she recorded with rap and hip hop producers. "She is going to be touring the world and wearing sexy little outfits. She is only 27, and I think the world forgets that." Jewel was once pursued by "Rush Hour" director Brett Ratner but shunted him aside for Murray. She's now looking for a hot date to take her to Vanity Fair's Oscar party. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Mar 2003 11:15:20 EST From: Dave0828@aol.com Subject: Re: [EDA] Jewel & Ty broke up? Don't believe the hype! Or at least don't believe everything you read on Page 6 of the NY Post until you hear it somewhere else too. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Mar 2003 17:27:04 +0100 From: "Michiel" Subject: RE: [EDA] Jewel & Ty broke up? well welll.....jewel is beautiful.......jewel is always looking amazing..so i can imagine that when she is 29 that she looks around.... i think honestly a bullrider and the lovely singer didn?t really were a perfect match!! hehe, now the chances are perhaps glowing for me :) but i think any new boyfriend of jewel will be great!! perfect she has to date again an artist, becuase they understand the same kind of travelling.. now ty was retired, he was boring at his farm, and jewel was still focussing on her carreer.. so jewel will not be a mom in a couple of months, years , what a conclusion hehe :) bye michiel ps it is of course rumours... weak as ever........weak as i ever been... ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Mar 2003 13:57:24 -0300 From: "Fabio (wnet)" Subject: [EDA] News regarding the new album Hey guys! If you check Jewel's Vh1 board, you'll see there is a guy named Videopro who says he listened to the album already. I've seen him say previous things about Jewel, like the This Way video. He's been always right, I believe he's from Atlantic, or something. Anyway, he said 2 interesting things about the new album: >> Not titled yet but, I've heard most of the music. Yeah, so what, you're not into the "club scene". It's not totally a club album. She's trying some new sounds, new beats and whatnot. There's some great "Jewel" stuff that won't disappoint. Gone is the "Country" sound from THIS WAY. Yay. There's a wise and rocking track called "AMERICA" that'll have you out of your chair. >> I've heard it. You will be a happy jericho. No more country twang. Some very rockin tunes. The first single INTUITION is clubby but, fun. She proves she can pump it with the best. AMERICA, a sardonic look at our country is the BEST. There's some ballads, too. I guess he's telling the truth, but you never know. Anyway, it sounds exciting! This America track should be great! I'm glad she's still political! In the beginning i didn4t like Shakira at all, but this newest videoclip is cool, and to be honest her songs are quite nice from Shakira. I hope the new record will contain cool tracks like America and Intuition!! Nothing like the one :) bye Michiel ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2003 01:20:42 +0100 From: "Etoile" Subject: [EDA] What song I've been wondering about this a couple of times but never asked.
