AT work, I was telling my co-workder about the Poltz show and how Jewel came. My friend said, "Jewel plays in coffeeshops?" because he didn't hear the whole thing - only that she came to the cafe. Then, a guy says out of nowhere, "I saw Jewel once, when I was a kid in SD in a coffeshop." Of course that made me go way off track and off duty (hehhe). So I started talking and he was from San Diego and saw her at Java Joe's. Cool! Then another kid says "I'm from San Diego too!" And I'm soaking this all in cuz my work is pretty boring and this was probably gonna be the most interesting thing all day. So we all start talking about the San Diego music scene - they all thought I was from San Diego too! Hehe, how funny. So no, I'm just weird and talk to EDAs from San Diego all the time. hehe. And one guy says, "hey, have you heard of a guy named Jason Mraz?" That strikes up more conversation. It was such a fun conversation. Some people were getting annoyed though because I wasn't working - oh well. And this girl comes in and she says "I'm from San Diego too!" In fact, she was from Rancho Santa Fe. hehe, right where Jewel's house is. And then we all talked about Jason Mraz some more. They told me about other people to check out. And we talked about Java Joe. It was just weird to suddenly have all these people talk about these kinds of things - I don't run into this a lot. Anyway, wanted to share my fun moment =) ta-ta, Elizabeth, the tennis-ball-whacking angel Thus conscience does make cowards of us all; And thus the native hue of resolution Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought - Shakespeare, "Hamlet" Perfect for the Jewel Kilcher Fan! He had to comment this about the cd of Jewel! Not titled yet but, I've heard most of the music. Yeah, so what, you're not into the "club scene". It's not totally a club album. She's trying some new sounds, new beats and whatnot. There's some great "Jewel" stuff that won't disappoint. Gone is the "Country" sound from THIS WAY. Yay. There's a wise and rocking track called "AMERICA" that'll have you out of your chair. What does this news sound cool!!!!! A jewel track called America, and also that JEwel experiments with new beats and other stuff, it will be jewel4s most remarkable record i am convinced!! i die to listen to INTUITION!!! take care jewelfans, only a couple of days 2 count to the new and next upcoming single of jewel!!!! greetings, Michiel ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V8 #84 **************************
